Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

I hadn't had one for 25+ years so my expectations were high! The meat was dry and the bun was dry and not toasted or run across the griddle with butter...it had no taste, no expected juicy wonderfulness....I had my Whataburger fix after 25 years living where there was no Whataburger, only to wish I had eaten some where else.
- RCRusty CrewsSep 12, 20262.0Drive-thru: they walk outside, hand you a bag, tell you your total, and take your card. They walk back inside to pay with your card, then they bring your card back. You would think your transaction was complete, right? Wrong! Obviously, they go back inside to get your food. I did not know that. So, after I got my card back, I naturally drove off without my food; I should have checked, but I did not. Anyway, I got home and realized the mistake. I called, and they said they wondered why I drove off without my food. I went back to get it. They were friendly but told me tons of people drive off without their food, but I am the only person who has come back for it. So, if this is an issue, why not correct it? Food: absolute trash! The buns were soggy and the order was wrong. Sorry, Enid, but our Whataburger is not a good reflection of this particular chain restaurant.
