Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

I am a designated driver on the weekends and I go here for the amazing tasting patty melts with onion rings in the early morning hours after completing my duties. (And the free coffee they offer for veterans is an added bonus for me!!) The onion rings were absolutely fantastic as always and the service is great. I actually took friends this time and I purchased four patty melt combos. The sodas, coffee, onion rings and fries were all delicious and refreshing as always. I ❤️ this location and will always come back.

There was a gentleman here about a month ago with a broken arm (I didn’t catch his name), and despite only having the use of one arm, he was absolutely running the place. He never let it slow him down and treated everyone with kindness and professionalism. He truly deserves a raise because that level of work ethic is incredibly rare in the food service industry. Beyond that, every employee who’s helped me here has had a fantastic attitude, great customer service, and a genuinely friendly demeanor. The food is consistently fresh and always tastes great. Highly recommend this Whataburger. Keep it up, BVL Whata team! You’re doing an amazing job.
