  Sweet Havana remains one of our favorite restaurants in Toledo the food is consistently excellent, and we genuinely enjoy coming here. However, after three visits with Maria as our server, it’s clear that her level of service does not match the quality of the restaurant which is not what we have experienced with other waitresses we have had here. She often drops off food and then disappears for long stretches. Tonight, she said she would refill our water and didn’t return until we were ready to leave. My dinner was also incorrect, and I had to ask a hostess to help locate her. When we finally saw her, she was near the bar on her phone and eating instead of checking on her tables. As someone who has been a server herself, I fully understand how demanding the job is and how much multitasking it requires — but multitasking only works when it’s done effectively. What we experienced tonight didn’t feel attentive or guest‑focused.We will absolutely continue coming for the amazing food, but it’s important to note that service can vary significantly depending on your server.

  If you’re looking for amazing Cuban food in Toledo, you HAVE to try Sweet Havana! Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious and full of authentic flavor. The food was fresh, beautifully prepared, and the portions were generous. The atmosphere was fun and welcoming, and the service was wonderful. The Cuban sandwich was incredible, and I especially loved the flavors in the ropa vieja and the sweet plantains. You can tell there is a lot of love and pride put into the food here. This is definitely a hidden gem in Toledo and a place I’ll be coming back to again and again! 🇨🇺❤️

  Outside of seeing family, Sweet Havana made our trip from Canada to Toledo wonderfully memorable. My cousin and his wife (both foodies) highly recommend this spot and their recommendation was spot on target. The atmosphere was joyous and lively which made you feel like you were sitting in a restaurant filled with old friends. The food, I could write a book on how flavorful it was for our experience, obviously made with love and care. The staff was amazing, beyond gracious and knowledgeable and explained every dish as needed. As a bonus, we had a chance to meet the owner and her son, both very charming and adding flare to the environment. Sweet Havana, thank you for the beautiful dining experience. We look forward to seeing you all again in the very near future. PS. I should have taken photos of our meal but I was too busy eating it!!! Next time for sure. Tim

  The food was good, good portion sizes and the soup and croquettes were above expectations. The menu is Ai generated. Which sucks because I know that they were able to make a perfectly good drink menu without ever using it. The lighting at the table was also subpar. My drink had ice chunks in the bottom of it(was meant to be a smoothie)which I would have bothered me except it was 7 dollars. I would definitely recommend going just for the croquettes.

  We’ve now been to Sweet Havana three times, and every experience has been outstanding. The food is consistently delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. My wife especially appreciates that they offer great vegetarian options, and she’s enjoyed everything she’s ordered. The staff is another reason we keep coming back. They’re friendly, professional, attentive, and the service is always fast without making you feel rushed. Our waitress today was on top of things and did an amazing job! If you visit, don’t miss the soursop fruit drink—it was absolutely delicious and refreshing. The churros were the perfect way to end the meal! Sweet Havana has quickly become one of our favorite restaurants. We’ll definitely be back and recommend it to anyone looking for its wonderful food, outstanding service, and welcoming atmosphere!
