Ventured out to Fresh Thyme for the first time. Complete ripoff, in my opinion. I love a good speciality store, and do expect to pay slightly more for special items, such as bakery cakes, homemade dips, etc. However, with the higher prices, I expect better quality.
The only high quality products at this store are candles, soaps, and coffee. Aldi has a better bakery, and I’m not being sarcastic folks.
The spreadable cheese my daughter likes by Boursin is $5.49 at Walmart, but 9.99 at Fresh Thyme! I sent an email to store voicing concerns about price gauging, and management responded thanking me for my feedback. No gift certificate, nothing, even with my receipt, but at least they responded, to be fair.
We will NOT be returning except for the two items my vegetarian daughter can’t find elsewhere. Overall, I do not recommend due to lack of affordability, value and bad customer service. A good alternative would be The Fresh Market. Although expensive, you at least get good quality and great customer service , with amazing speciality products like their baked goods. You’re better off buying day to day items at your grocery store of choice, whether it be Walmart, Aldi, or Costco.
