  I celebrated my birthday dinner at Papadeaux on Saturday, May 9th with a group of 4. Unfortunately, the experience became extremely disappointing. The wait for food was already longer than expected, although the food tasted good at the time. However, while we were dining, someone had an accident and defecated on the floor near the restroom area. Our table was directly in front of the restroom, which completely ruined everyone’s appetite and forced us to take our food to go. What made matters worse is that 3 out of the 4 people in our party became extremely sick afterward with ongoing stomach issues that lasted through Mother’s Day weekend and beyond. I personally had to cancel all of my Mother’s Day plans due to being sick throughout the night and entire following day. Today is May 12th and I’m still having symptoms and rotating between Pepto-Bismol and Alka-Seltzer just to try to manage it. What’s especially frustrating is that my daughter and sister already have graduation dinner reservations scheduled here, and now we’re honestly nervous about returning. I’ve always loved Papadeaux, which is why this is so disappointing. Sadly, this is now the second bad experience someone in our group has had here. I truly hope management takes cleanliness, food safety, and guest experience more seriously moving forward.

  Our waiter was fine but the young lady up front was rude to multiple customers, old and young , I watched her roll her eyes and blankly ignore a customer who was giving her a compliment regarding her fresh braids . It’s so loud in there and we came from out of town and don’t have to ever come back. The food was mid at best. They didn’t de-vein the shrimp, which is poop, the catfish was seasoned well, cream brûlée was lumpy and the banana pudding was subpar. The food did come out pretty fast.

  Q was the best server I have EVER had. We really enjoyed the attention to detail in explaining the offerings on the menu. It is My Birthday weekend..Desert on the house! Spinach and Crab dip was the appetizer. DELICIOUS! It was all good! I'll be back again. We especially want to thank the Manager for coming to our table after Q notified her that a member of the party had a food allergy. She came to our table and talked with us about it, then assured us that she would notify the kitchen. I Couldn't eat the Desert...I'm going to smash it once I put a period on the sentence. Bon Appetite!

  WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!! First I made reservations for 430pm. I arrived at 420 and didn't get seated until 535. Remind you hostess we're seating tables that were larger compacity and smaller who had reservations at 5 and 515pm. Next it took 15 minutes for our server to bring us water. Right after we order appetizers and they were ice cold. Remind you that national standard for food safety is 145 degrees and the food was way below temperature. After we order our entree our server disappeared for 30 minutes. After I contacted another server to get management, the manger look directly at me. He walked passed my table at least 3 times and never said a word. I them to proceed to ask for another manager who is also inexperienced. I expressed our issues and concerns and she assured she would handle it by changing my card for food that never came to our table. I explained to her that we were not satisfied with the app but we would still pay for it. She took it upon herself to charge me for the whole meal we didn't eat. 3 hours later and the only thing we had was ice water and cold alligator bites. They showed no sympathy or remorse on how they ruined a special day that we drove 3 hours away to enjoy. Not to mention my daughter has pmg and epilepsy and can't go that long with out food. I will never spend my money an establishment who doest care about the customers and their safety

  We love the south Texas Pappadeaux and were so thrilled to see one in Cincinnati that we immediately booked a weekend trip. The seafood tasted wonderfully fresh. The oysters and Texas redfish tasted just as fresh and delicious as the locations near the gulf. The service, on the other hand, was terrible. Our server was nice but very inattentive, and the kitchen and bar completely failed at pacing our meal. We initially wanted to order dessert, but we had stared at the dead food on our plates for so long after asking for boxes and to see the dessert selection that we just left. We noticed many large parties, but the smaller parties around us were seated after we were and received food and drinks quickly and had left by the time we got our bill. We are so disappointed, because we miss those Texas Pappadeaux meals. The drive to Cincinnati would happen a lot more frequently if the service matched the excellence of the food.
