  ⭐⭐ Yesterday I went to El Asadero with two friends, and honestly, it was really disappointing that the experience wasn’t what we expected. The restaurant is beautiful and has so much potential. In fact, our intention was to stay, eat a lot, have several cocktails, and enjoy a great night. We were fully prepared to spend money and have a good time, but after trying the food and drinks, we simply didn’t feel like staying. We ordered three $16.99 Skinny Margaritas, and they tasted more like orange juice—or some kind of juice—way too sweet and with absolutely no kick. I don’t mind paying for a good cocktail, but for that price, I expected much more. I ordered the quesabirrias, but they were way too greasy and were also missing ingredients that were listed on the menu, so I ended up sending them back. My other friend’s mahi-mahi tacos were acceptable, but nothing extraordinary. On top of that, I was initially charged for the quesabirrias and had to have the charge corrected after it was already put on my card. The $18 chicken milanesa looked like a kids’ meal. My friend ordered it with fries and a salad, but she received flavorless rice, the salad came without dressing, and the fries arrived after she had already finished eating. The best things were the chips with salsa and the chicharrón, which were actually delicious. The three of us spent approximately $140, but what made me saddest was that we went there intending to stay and continue ordering more food and drinks, and instead we ended up wanting to leave. We had high expectations and genuinely wanted to love the place. I really hope they improve the quality, portions, and presentation of the food specifically, as well as the drinks, because the restaurant is beautiful and has so much potential. It would be wonderful to come back someday and finally have the experience we were hoping for. Íbamos con toda la disposición de gastar y disfrutar, pero después de probar la comida y las bebidas, simplemente no nos dieron ganas de quedarnos. Pedímos 3 Skinny Margaritas de $16.99 que parecía más jugo de naranja O de algo, demasiado dulce y sin nada de kick. No me molesta pagar por un buen cóctel, pero por ese precio esperaba mucho más. Las quesabirrias que ordené eran demasiado grasosas y además les faltaban ingredientes que aparecían en el menú, así que termine devolviéndolas. Los tacos de mahi-mahi de mi otra amiga estuvieron aceptables, pero nada extraordinario. Y al final me las cobraron y tuvieron que corregirlo después q lo cargaron a mi tarjeta. La milanesa de pollo de $18 parecía un kids meal. Mi amiga la pidió con papas fritas y ensalada, pero le trajeron arroz sin sabor, la ensalada sin aderezo y las papas llegaron cuando ya ella había terminado de comer. Lo mejor fueron los chips con salsa y el chicharrón, que sí estuvieron deliciosos. Entre las tres gastamos aproximadamente $140, pero lo que más pena me dio fue que íbamos con la intención de quedarnos y seguir consumiendo, y terminamos queriendo irnos. Teníamos expectativas altas y realmente queríamos que nos gustara. Ojalá mejoren la calidad, las porciones, la presentación de la Comida en específico y las bebidas, porque el lugar es bonito y tiene muchísimo potencial. Sería maravilloso poder regresar algún día y tener la experiencia que esperábamos encontrar.

Pedí una Skinny Margarita de $16.99 que parecía jugo de naranja, demasiado dulce y sin nada de kick. No me importa pagar por un buen cóctel, pero espero calidad por ese precio. La milanesa de pollo de $18 parecía un kids meal. Pedí papas fritas y ensalada, pero me trajeron arroz sin sabor, la ensalada sin aderezo y las papas llegaron cuando ya había terminado de comer. Las quesabirrias de mi amiga eran pequeñas, excesivamente grasosas y les faltaban ingredientes que mencionaba el menú, por lo que terminó devolviéndolas. Ojalá mejoren la calidad, las porciones y la presentación, porque un lugar tan bonito merece ofrecer una experiencia mucho mejor.

  Great experience. The energy was awesome. Music was loud but I enjoy loud music. Staff was friendly. The restaurant environment is beautiful. Decoration, detail, and artistry are too notch! They have some unusual surprises if you're lucky during your time there which adds to make it a memorable experience. Overall I would say 4.3 stars from me. I would definitely recommend for anyone wanted a unique dining experience!! Thank you El Asedero.

  I’m going to be honest—the first time we came here, we were disappointed to the point that we didn’t really want to return. However, this was also within the first month of them opening. Our food was great, but the friends we were with had a bad experience that ultimately dampened ours as well. Last night, we decided to give it another try, and we were really impressed! The salsa was so much better than the first time we had it, and the guacamole was some of the best I’ve had (besides my own 😏). The drinks are so fun, and there are a lot of great options to choose from. My husband, son, and I all really enjoyed our meals. We also had a wonderful waitress, and the rest of the staff was great. I’m so happy we decided to come back, and we will definitely be back again soon! Thank you!

  Absolutely horrible experience. Would give 0 starts if I could too. I paid $28 for 4 chicken tacos, and honestly, I might as well have gone to Taco Bell. 😭 As you can see in the picture, these tacos looked nothing like what I expected from a Mexican grill, and for that price, I expected WAY more. What really got me is that they charge around $6 per taco and the price changes depending on what meat you choose. That feels extremely overpriced for what you actually get. I definitely did not feel like I got my money’s worth. I will not be coming back and honestly wouldn’t recommend spending your money here. If you want good Mexican food in the Whitehall area, I’d recommend Mi Mexico instead. Their tacos are around $4 each, and the quality and flavor are MUCH better they actually give you the meat you paid for. 🔥 Save your money and go somewhere else.
