Unfortunately this place didn’t live up to the reviews for us. The sushi and bulgogi were disappointing, the salad had way too much dressing, and the cocktails tasted very weak.
But the biggest issue was the service. It was slow, and many of the comments our server made felt awkward and judgmental which made us uncomfortable.
Overall, it just wasn’t a great first experience and we won’t return.

I was excited to try this place based on the reviews, but I wouldn’t go back! The food was really disappointing- sushi wasn’t good, salad was drowned in dressing, the egg rolls tasted like Magic Wok, and the bulgogi was bland and inedible (could only eat two bites). The lychee martini and Asian pear martini also tasted like there was no alcohol in them.
But the service was the worst part- very slow and making unnecessary strange comments about everything we ordered. The tone was judgmental and awkward which made something as simple as ordering food feel uncomfortable (pretty bizarre for a restaurant setting). At one point while I was ordering she even asked if I wanted my hot sizzling tableside entrée to go…which was confusing.
Overall there wasn’t a single part of our visit that felt enjoyable or worthwhile. It was unfortunately one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in the area and I won’t be back.

Food was fabulous. Two thumbs up. We had the Tuna Tartare and Soft Shell Crab Sushi Roll. The tartare was perfectly seasoned and served atop crispy wonton triangles which was a really unique surprise. The soft shell crab rolls were delicious, drizzled with a wonderful eel sauce. The lovely owner Kim was the consummate host! We will be back!

Review: A Hidden Gem Found at Tea Tree Asian Bistro
I can’t believe I’ve never been here before! After hearing high praise from so many people, we finally decided to see if Tea Tree Asian Bistro lived up to the hype—and it absolutely did.
From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is really nice and welcoming. That positive vibe continued with the service; the staff was incredibly friendly, and we even had a cook and our server stop by the table to chat with us, which was a great touch.
The Food
Everything we ordered was spot on. We started with the Crab Rangoon, which was served with a sweet and sour sauce that was absolutely perfect.
Next, we tried the Mexican Sushi Roll. It’s deep-fried and delicious. It came with a thinned-out wasabi and ginger that paired really well. One thing that stood out was the attention to detail—they actually offered us a choice of three different types of soy sauce, which was a cool experience you don't see often.
For the main courses:
Seafood Lo Mein: My wife really enjoyed this. She added a bit of spicy mayo, which she said made it perfect.
General Tso’s Chicken: I went with this classic. The serving size was huge! It wasn’t overbearingly spicy, just really well-flavored and satisfying.
Value & Experience
The presentation here is worth mentioning—the food looks amazing just sitting on the plate, and honestly, everything being served at the tables around us looked just as good. I found myself wishing I could try the whole menu.
For two people, including fountain drinks, the bill came to about $70. Given the quality of the food, the portions, and the great service, it was definitely worth the price.
The Verdict: If you’ve never been here, I highly recommend it. It’s easy to see why this place is so highly rated. We will definitely be back!
