Wow. We visited this store today while in the area and were very disappointed. Purchased two Asiago Bagel sandwiches and requested extra condiment sauce for both. First of all, the bagels contained very little actual Asiago cheese and were only slightly browned, tasteless, under-baked and flat. We requested extra sauce because we've always loved Panera's proprietary sauce recipes. However, NOT so much 'extra' sauce as to drown the bread and paper wrapper to the point of sloppiness and unmanageability. The circle-shaped ham on one sandwich was folded in half and placed on mostly one side of the bagel. It's looked as if it was pulled out of a deli package picked up at the nearby Kroger store. The bags of chips, marketed as 'free' (woo-hoo) are so small- why do they bother..? A major red-flag was also the dimly-lit and yellowed drive-thru menu board. which looked worse than a failing Big Boy restaurant's board. Yikes. Needless to say, it seems like this Perrysburg Panera location needs better owners or managers or whatever. The Perrysburg community and surrounding businesses deserve BETTER. From now on we will stick to the Central Avenue, Sylvania, Ohio location, it's much nicer.

I enjoy coming to this location. They get my order correct every time and they are so friendly. There’s always fresh baked goods.

Been coming here for over a year and a half, every Thursday evening as I am in town for work and need a place to spend an hour or so after work that is close to my hotel. I always get hot tea with my dinner order every time and my experience in that timeframe has consistently been that about 70-75% of the time I have to remind them to give me my cup as it gets forgotten about and half the time the hot water craft is empty and I have to stand around and wait for them to refill the craft after standing around to tell them that it is empty. I always remind them that they have a hot water tap right behind the counter but despite this sometimes they still make me wait. I really don’t complain about things and this is more for feedback to them if they care but this has been a consistent problem for me and it seems to be a rather simple fix. Today I finally had enough and will simply look for a different place. I am not a big spender but I am consistent and I do tip and I am always polite about it. Seems to only happen at this particular location. I’m not trying to be petty but I get annoyed just thinking about it on my drive there anticipating this problem and today was the last day…

On this visit, I purchased a blueberry muffin priced at $3.59 and tendered a $5 bill to the cashier. The cashier incorrectly entered the transaction into the point-of-sale system as if exact change had been provided. As a result, I was initially given only $1 in change, despite being owed additional change. After reviewing the receipt and bringing the discrepancy to the cashier’s attention, she acknowledged the issue and stated she believed she owed me more. Rather than immediately correcting the cash discrepancy, she offered an additional pastry in place of returning the correct change. I agreed to this resolution at that time. However, before completing this offer, the cashier requested managerial assistance. When the manager arrived, the register was opened and my remaining change was returned, but the previously offered pastry was no longer provided or acknowledged. Upon further review of my receipt, it was clear that the cashier had entered the payment as exact change, despite receiving $5. This represents an error in transaction processing and raises concerns regarding accuracy and internal controls at the register. I then requested to speak directly with the manager, Carrie, to address the issue. The response I received was dismissive, with the matter characterized as insignificant and my concerns minimized. I was also told that contacting corporate would not matter, which is an inappropriate response to a customer raising a legitimate transactional concern. This experience reflects deficiencies in cash-handling accuracy, customer-service standards, and managerial professionalism. Employees operating a cash register should be properly trained to enter payments accurately and promptly correct discrepancies when identified. I have contacted corporate to formally document this incident and request appropriate review.
