- SSShannonMay 1, 20262.0Five Guys USED to be so good! Not sure if it’s just this location or what (8 years ago, I went to Strongsville mostly), but went the other day and was highly disappointed. Matter of fact, I am consistently disappointed by this location, but keep trying occasionally in hopes they will get better. The service was fine. Staff was friendly and food was ready quick. However, my fries, which is the only thing I ever go for because the burgers are overpriced. To be fair, fries are too, but they used to be my favorite and they gave you a ton. The other day when I went I ordered a large fry and large drink…$11.19!!!! It’s potatoes, oil and salt! Fries are now bagged (in a tissue type bag now instead of a larger cup with just a few “bag” fries floating on the bottom of the actual bag). They were soggy, had not enough salt and portions have gone way down from what they were maybe 8 years ago. I’m not coming back, been disappointed far too many times. Overpriced, overhyped trash now. Burgers were always good, but can’t rate those now since I never buy with the outrageous prices.

Large fry to be eaten by 2 people was delivered in a paper sack with way too many fries even if they were small in length. Had to toss at least a ⅓ of them away. The burger was good but very thick and had to mash to fit in mouth. Will get the small (1 patty) if I ever return. Pricey for what you get......

Why does Five Guys have peanuts for free?
Serving peanuts for free began as a way for people to pass the time while they waited for us to cook up their meals (way back in the day, before smartphones). It was such a hit, and has become such a Five Guys tradition, that we keep our stores stocked with peanuts to this day.

Leftover fries are excellent reheated in the oven (or Air Fryer). According to Chad Murrell, one of the Five Guys, just pop them in a 350-degree oven for about 10-15 minutes.
Also, give those leftover fries a try as hash browns, home fries, or even as the filling in an omelet.
