However. I personally have learned thay lesson. Almost never have an issue whe. Placing an order in house. Sometimes the wait is long but its worth it. Just tried the cilantro lime sauce and cant even lie you can taste tje freshness. Made my whole burrito 10 times better. And it was already fire to start with. My custom build is a no brainer so when chipotle has those lil extras to try I always do and this one was a home run.

I showed up at 7:26 to find 5-10 people waiting for pick up as well, and Chipotle was offering free drinks to try to make up for the wait. After standing there for over 20 minutes, I decided to go back to my car to wait until it was ready. A bunch of people were also waiting out in their cars in the parking lot. I didn’t get my order until 8:15. A 45 minute wait! Thanks for the free drink I guess, but there was no syrup in the Sprite machine and they were out of the Berry Agua Fresca. They had one poor employee making all of these pickup orders and trying to handle questions from DoorDash drivers while the other line moved people through who walked in. I understand things can happen to get behind on orders, but a free drink doesn’t make up for waiting for 45 minutes. I would have just found another place to eat, but I couldn’t cancel my order as I had already paid. Apparently after reading reviews this is a pretty common occurrence in Newark. I’ll be sure to go to Heath Chipotle next time.
