  Best breakfast we’ve had and we eat out 85-90% of the time! Bacon and eggs were cooked to perfection and the grilled cinnamon toast was just chef’s kiss. Quick and friendly service. Will definitely return when we pass through again!

  I had the worst experience with this diner ever. It looks like they only offer heated canned food. I was surprised at how it’s served.

  Food will do in a pinch. Definitely not down home cooking. Good place to catch up with friends and visit for awhile. Service is always pretty good and friendly though.

  This is a must go to anyone coming through Mount Vernon. The friendly staff, atmosphere, and classic food with good sized portions are here to welcome you as soon as you open the door. Other diners should model themselves off of Southside, as they seem to have captured the charm of an old-styled diner that speaks to the hearts of the classic American everywhere.
