  I'm having a hard time believing I haven't reviewed this Skyline location before.. Buckle up folks, this might be a little lengthy.. Where to start.. Maybe 43 years ago when I sampled Skyline Chili for the very first time at this family's original location across town?? I can't even imagine how many times I've enjoyed a classic 3-Way with a plain Coney (aka a Chili Weiner with Cheese) or two at this location.. It's likely in the hundreds of times if not more.. What has been consistent is the quality of the food and service, as well as the cleanliness of the restaurant.. I've eaten Skyline Chili all over Ohio, at a handful of SW Florida locations, and even a location or two in Indiana and Northern Kentucky, but always look forward to returning to my home store, which I visited for lunch on Friday, 31 July 2026.. I ordered a classic 3-Way and the Chili Weiner with Cheese, both topped with Skyline's signature Extreme Habanero Shredded Cheese.. Pro Tip.. If the restaurant will accommodate it, drizzle your authentic Skyline hot 🔥 sauce on the chili before the cheese is added.. It's a game changer.. At least it was for me.. Anywho, just like every other time since 1983, I had a great experience at this Skyline location and the store before it.. The food and service were fantastic and the place was clean as could be, particularly the steam table where all the food prep takes place.. I'm already looking forward to my next visit and I'll add additional pics to this review from previous visits at a later date..

  I love skyline but this was nasty. Hot dog is overcooked. I spit it out Hardly any chilli it's basically bread with cheese. I've been going here my whole life and I'd rather just not anymore. I'm disappointed truly. Rather go spend the 6 bucks and just get it from the store

  Skyline originators should be checking up on the quality...buns should be steamed properly and quit skimping on the chili and cheese. It's costing you...we now go to Monroe skyline.

  Every other Skyline we have ordered to go food from has put the onions in a container, not directly on the food. I started ordering both my husband & I 5-ways because a drive thru at a different Skyline had so much trouble with my 4-way order. It was like being in the "Who's on 1st" for those old enough to get the reference. After that I started ordering two 5-ways & handing him my onions. Another issue with the Middletown location is it's floor plan (layout) not having a conventional design for ordering/picking up food, but being more of a bottleneck. Something for the owners to look at closely if a remodel is being planned. We will probably not revisit this location for the combined 2 reasons.
