Something has gone very wrong at this Arby's location.
I'll start by saying that the food was passable by Arby's standards. If you were coming here to grab food through the drive-thru, you might find it perfectly acceptable. That is, of course, if you can navigate your car around the gargantuan potholes in the path to the drive-thru lane. This parking lot is an absolute disaster and needed to be resurfaced years ago.
If you're going inside, thinks don't get much better. I appreciate that this is not a sterile Arby's like other recent renovations nearby, there's still some charm and coziness to this space. Or rather, there would be, if not for the numerous problems holding it back.
The drink and sauce counter was filthy, with an odd smell coming from the area. Some of the sauce dispenser pumps have the nozzles at an angle, so if you aren't prepared, you'll likely pump ketchup or Arby's sauce on your fingers. Sauce cups and drink lids were not well stocked, so clearly no one is paying attention.
The dining area is even worse. When we pulled into the parking lot, an employee was smoking outside near one of the side doors. No big deal, employees are allowed to take smoke breaks. However, this was so close to the door that the draft actually sucked the smoke smell into the dining area, so the entire room smelled like the smoking section of a casino.
We struggled to find a clean table in the entire restaurant, despite being the only people dining in at the time, meaning tables hadn't been cleaned in hours - if they had been touched that day at all. And even when we did find one that seemed acceptable, it was beneath moldy water-damaged ceiling tiles that were falling apart. A dehumidifier sits out of use in the corner, likely meant to combat the damp smell - which I would complain about too, if we could smell it over the smoke.
Five or six years ago, my wife and I frequented this location. The problems present now were not present back then. I'm not sure what happened or who is in charge now, but this place is currently bordering on multiple health code violations and something needs to change soon.
