- JCJason CurleeMay 21, 20261.0What a terrible experience, I went through the drive thru around 5:30 this morning. The attendant without a single word slides the card reader to the window, this catches me off guard because I have always handed my card over for them to swipe/tap. I say “oh that’s different” to which the attendant doesn’t reply, they just stand and stare at me. I then look at the screen and realize they did that for a very specific reason. For a fast food/donut shop to expect a tip in the drive-thru is nothing short of astonishing, do you pay your employees so poorly that I now have to supplement their pay this way? You are already gouging prices; near $12 for 4 cold plain donuts and a medium cool-aid equivalent drink. Just pay your employees a decent wage don’t guilt patrons into tipping in the drive-thru. At any restaurant, diners should tip based on quality of service provided, if you’re going to continue to not pay your people enough can you at least instruct them to not take a rude posture when forcing us to make a selection to tip them.
