  We visit Hocking Hills multiple times a year. Hungry Buffalo was typically on our eat list. My girls always seemed to like it and atmosphere was fun. This visit was by far the worst food we’ve had. Pasta was very overcooked, veggies still hard. Nachos very crispy and baked too long. Burgers and fries very greasy. $85 plus tip and not very satisfied with what we got vs. price paid. It’s a bummer but unfortunately we won’t be back.

  Ill start by saying I havnt been this disappointed with a place in my life. Hungry Buffalo used to be a 5 star place. Im here to inform you it has drastically gone downhill. We ordered takeout the other day after an amazing time on the river. Portions were horribly small and the food was burnt. Service was sub-par at best with barely a greeting. I will never be back.

  Wait was over an hour and a half. Was seated sooner if we sat outside. When we were seated outside, walked through the restaurant with many empty tables. Seated outside and had to ask for the lights to be turned on as the sun went down. The lighting was so poor, it still felt like we were in the dark. Waitress was nice and took our drink and food order right away (we were ready with our order ahead of time). Took 45 minutes for salads to arrive. Ordered a drink off their draft menu, only to be told they don’t have it. Food finally came after an hour. The food was just warm and not very hot, and they missed some food for one of our kids, but corrected quickly. All things considered, the food tasted good. The waitress asked if “everything looked ok”, which was ironic because we couldn’t really see it. We asked for our checks right away, and needed my phone light to see/sign the receipt. All in all, I would chalk this experience up to poor management. It was not the waitress’ fault, and the food was ok. But if they are short staffed, open communication with patrons, and more options for service should be considered. This experience was very poor. This was exacerbated with the fact that it was so late by the time we got food, our kids were starving, exhausted, and stir crazy.

  Stopped in for the first time but have traveled to the HH area many times. There were 4 in our party and we were seated right away. The hostess wasn’t very friendly or personable. When she sat us, I asked her “is this the only table available” ? Her response was without thinking and quite rude. “No sorry” She didn’t check or ask anyone else or even look for that matter and her response was in a rude tone. The food was great ! Our waitress was also great and she asked us several times if we needed anything. My only other negative response is in regards to the atmosphere. It was VERY cold !!! It’s so hard to enjoy your food when shivering. We would probably visit again in the future

  While we were seated quickly, and our waitress was very friendly and kind enough to tell us that she wouldn’t order the salad because it did not look good that day. She also had to come back and tell us that my husband was not going to get green beans as his side cause they were out that I was not gonna get the mixed vegetables I ordered because they were out and also they were out of steaks. They serve no kind of bread with the meal, not even a corn muffin, which is odd for a barbecue restaurant… And our baked potatoes were so hard that we could whack them with our steak knife and not even hardly make a mark on them. We offered to pay for our drinks and she said no, not to worry about it and we got up and left and went across the road to the Arby’s.
