My breakfast sandwich was good, but my wife's breakfast tacos were extremely salty and the brisket was mostly fat. Sandwich 4 stars, tacos -1 stars. Service was adequate. Atmosphere...they had the AC so cold we considered getting our jackets from the car. Why? It was only mid 70s outside. This was our first visit to this concept and while not terrible there was nothing that would draw us back.

Brunch at its best at The Toasted Yolk Cafe. First, I have to mention our bartender/server, Kaitlynn. We’ve been to hundreds of restaurants, and she easily made our top three servers ever. She had the exact energy and personality every great bartender or server should have. She was funny, personal, welcoming, and genuinely memorable. She absolutely set the tone for an amazing experience from the moment we sat down.
The interior was very modern with great lighting and an open atmosphere. We sat at the bar, and while the seats are a little high for someone who’s 5’7” haha, they were surprisingly very comfortable. We were greeted right away, and my wife ordered a Bloody Mary that came out loaded with goodies and actually tasted as good as it looked. We were slightly hungover, but that’s beside the point lol.
We started with the fried banana peppers, and these were incredible. They’re fried in beef tallow, and the breading was perfectly done. Honestly, they were good enough to eat without the sauce, but the dipping sauce made them even better, flavorful without being spicy.
I ordered the biscuits and gravy with two poached eggs. Not many places offer poached eggs with biscuits and gravy anymore, or even offer poached eggs in general, but here it felt completely normal and they nailed it. The gravy had a slight yellowish tent that reminded me of some extra butter or beef Tallow and it wasn't runny nor thick. My wife ordered a breakfast combo plate that came with the biggest pancake she’s ever been served at a restaurant. It was huge, fluffy, and delicious. The sausage patties were lighter in color and had a slightly different flavor than most sausage we’ve had before, but still very good. The portions were massive, and my wife ended up needing a take-home box because she couldn’t finish half of it. She even said it reheated really well later, which says a lot.
I also recommend trying their homemade spicy garlic sauce that is in the condiments basket. You won't be disappointed.
I really wish we had a location closer to us in Pataskala because you would definitely find us there often. Huge thank you to Kaitlynn and the entire staff for such a great experience. We will definitely be getting toasted again!

The food was okay/good, but service was very slow.
That was acceptable but the part that led to this rating though was the condition of the restrooms. The women's was out of toilet paper and the water in the sink did not work at all in the men's. Which really made me wonder how employees were washing their hands...
I should note we have been here in the past, enjoyed it, and have not seen these concerns.

Food is on the pricier side, especially for location. That said, our visit was STELLAR. staff was quick and accomodating for my group + painfully loud toddler with no judgement and plenty of resources. the food came out really good. we will be back if we travel through findlay again.

We got the Arnold Benedict and chicken and waffles for breakfast. Slow servace but was a bit busy. The Benedict was lacking flavor, English muffin wasnt toasted and wasn't exactly warm but the grits were hot. The chicken and waffles. Lacking both hot honey and jalapeno, but wasn't able to wave down my server. Waffles were over cooked and falling apart. Chicken was burnt, dry stringy. Difficult to cut and breading falling off. We were in too much of a rush to leave to bring it up with management and not planning on going back. Do not recommend at all, our server was ok. More like the Toasted Yuck!
