There's a buy one get one deal through DoorDash, so I've picked up supper from here 3 times within the past month.
The first visit I ordered BOGO cheese dip, guac and soft tacos (2 beef and 2 chicken.) The guac was absolutely delicious and so was the cheese dip. The ground beef tacos have a weird spicy taste to them, but that's the only flavor; weirdly spicy. And very greasy, can't forget that. The chicken tacos were average. The amount of meat in the tacos was laughable. Tiny amounts of chicken or ground beef, but plenty of lettuce. This is the one consistent factor of their food; small portions of the ingredient that actually matters.
The second visit I ordered guac and two chicken tacos. This time the guac was awful. I tried adding lime juice, cilantro and salt but it was still inedible. Thankfully they only filled the containers halfway, so at least I didn't waste a lot of it? The tacos were moist, but had no flavor. The amount of meat in the tacos was again laughable.
I just finished my final meal from this restaurant. The guac was good, and the containers were full, but it wasn't anywhere near as tasty as the first time I had their guac. The ground beef tacos still had the weird spicy flavor, with plenty of grease. The chicken tacos were average. As always, the amount of meat was laughable. The cheese dip was yet again the best part of the meal.
I don't know if the small portion sizes and small amount of meat in the tacos is due to the fact that I'm using the BOGO deal, but I hope it is. If I were to pay full price for the food, I'd be pretty annoyed.
As much as I want to love this place, I won't be eating here again.
*The first time I picked up my order the girl at the counter barely looked up, and acted as though I was inconveniencing her. The other 2 times I picked up both girls were super nice!*
3 out of 5 for atmosphere because the restaurant is very pretty and clean, but the music is really loud.
(These photos are from my 2nd visit, without beef tacos.)

My friends and I had a great time.
Raul & Fernando were so hospitable & kind to us, and the food was just delicious.
Their Salsa Roja is amazing.

I was just there to eat for dinner with my son and had an amazing experience, the food was delicious and the service was fantastic. There was another table that was causing a scene by complaining about issues that we saw were already resolved. I admire the server for her performance during this, she came over and served us professionally even after dealing with that.

I had a very disappointing experience at El Vaquero. The customer service was terrible from start to finish. Our server did not listen to our order, which resulted in the wrong food being brought to our table. Instead of correcting the mistake, the manager or person in charge on the floor was not accommodating at all and seemed unwilling to make things right. They refused to replace the incorrect meal, even though the mistake was not ours.
To make matters worse, the food quality was not good. Between the poor service, lack of accountability, and disappointing food, this was not a pleasant dining experience. I expected much better customer service and would not recommend this location based on my experience.

This may be a small restaurant, but it delivers a big dining experience! We were seated fairly quickly after arriving. Both the hostess and our waitress were new, so we were patient and understanding. Since they were still learning the menu, they weren't able to offer many recommendations, but we already knew we wanted to try the quesabirria.
We ordered the quesabirria taco, shrimp tacos, and a pizza from the kids' menu for my son. The menu clearly lists the ingredients and pricing, so be sure to read it carefully before ordering. The kids' menu is also great for picky eaters.
The food was so impressive that we couldn't leave without trying dessert. We ordered the churros and the Xangos cheesecake, and both were absolutely delicious! The Xangos cheesecake was unlike anything we've had before. The combination of cinnamon sugar, chocolate drizzle, strawberry sauce, whipped cream, and honey created layers of flavor that would satisfy almost anyone with a sweet tooth.
The quesabirria was incredibly tender, flavorful, and served with a rich consommé that made every bite even better. It wasn't greasy, just perfectly seasoned and so good that it left us wanting more. The shrimp tacos had a delicious sweet and savory flavor and were very satisfying.
The only downside was the drinks. The raspberry tea tasted like it hadn't been mixed thoroughly, and the water had a noticeable taste. However, we're used to drinking purified or alkaline water, so others may not notice it.
Overall, the outstanding food more than made up for the drinks. I highly recommend El Vaquero for families, especially since they also offer a vegetarian menu. If you're looking for delicious Mexican food and unforgettable desserts, this is definitely a place worth visiting!
