In 1950 our Grandpa Johnson opened our first location in Bexley, Ohio and he has since been an inspiration to three generations of ice-cream makers. He started Johnson’s Real Ice Cream with a commitment to quality, community, and the simple joy of a cold ice cream cone (or pint, or sundae—there’s no wrong way to eat ice cream). Each flavor we make is a testament to the things he loved and a reflection of his personal quirks. He was a good man with a contagious laugh who worked hard and always had fun. Thanks for keeping his legacy alive by enjoying his famous flavors!
