  Cocktails first, then bacon-wrapped scallops with apricot chutney. The bacon stayed crisp and the chutney kept the plate from getting too rich. The Wagyu filet was cooked right and ate tender. Sea bass, lobster mac and cheese, and au gratin potatoes were all solid. The potatoes had a real smoke to them, and the crème brûlée closed the meal cleanly. Every server who came by wished us a happy anniversary. Worth going back.

  My wife and I had our anniversary dinner here. Let me say this first the staff was very friendly. Stopped at the bar and had a Cosmo and it was awful,something was missing. Then to dinner , I had 12oz filet the wife had twin lobster tails. We shared the augratin potatoes which were hot but not cooked through and were hard. The entrees were not hot at all. For a high end fine dining restaurant it missed the mark. It just didn't feel like a fine dining experience more like Texas Roadhouse. Needless to say we will continue to frequent Don's Lighthouse and Pier W. The only high point of the evening was the valet parking people. By the way it cost $20 for this service plus $300 for dinner and cocktails, not a bargain for cold food.

  Came for my brothers birthday and to be honest it wasn’t the best experience. We waited a long time till our waiter stopped by to say he will be back with water. We probably sat there for 10 minutes until we actually got water. Which isn’t the worst but I do feel at a place of this level it shouldn’t happen. I also ordered a New York strip which while I was eating it tasted fatty only to find out when we got the bill he gave me a ribeye which also was more expensive. I didn’t say anything since I did eat it all. But again another careless mistake. And to top it off the desert we ordered the waiter accidentally spilled water on and he played it off like it didn’t happen. It truly wasn’t all bad the food was good it was just so many things wrong in one night it was upsetting especially if I’m paying 500$ for the 3 of us.

  Definitely go see Josh at Morton’s in Cleveland. Have him get Max to wait on you. These guys are the best. The food is always excellent at Morton’s!!

  Extremely disappointing birthday dinner — not the Morton’s I remembered My fiancée took me to Morton’s Cleveland for my birthday because I remembered Morton’s as one of my favorite steakhouses. Unfortunately, this experience was nothing like what I remembered. We ordered a ribeye to share. The issue wasn’t the temperature; a significant portion of the exterior was black and carbonized, as shown in the photos. It tasted bitter and burnt, not like a proper steakhouse crust, and I had to stop eating it. When I showed it to the manager, he told me this was “normal” because the outside can burn while cooking the steak to temperature. I pointed to the blackened portion and asked, “Am I supposed to eat this charcoal?” There was no meaningful apology or offer to replace it because the kitchen was closed. I was told half the steak would be removed from the bill, but it was initially charged in full. We also felt rushed throughout the rest of the evening, with staff repeatedly trying to clear our plates while we were still eating. The bill also included a glass of wine we never ordered or consumed, even though we had ordered a bottle. Both issues had to be pointed out before the check was corrected. Mistakes happen, but a premium restaurant should acknowledge them and make a genuine effort to resolve them. Instead, we felt dismissed, rushed and disappointed. For the prices Morton’s charges and the reputation it carries, I expected much better food, hospitality and management. Sadly, this was not the Morton’s I remembered.
