  Delicious food and margaritas, good music, warm decor, the staff is very friendly. We really had a good time at Don Ramon (again!). This is becoming our go-to Mexican restaurant in the area.

  The short: The food is great. The service is not. We have come three times, and had a similar experience each time: The food is always great, BUT we've had young servers each time, and their customer service has been lacking heavily. We came for a big event, my son's high school graduation. His grandfather flew in from Portland, Oregon. We proudly took him to the restaurant we knew for the best mexican food in town. After the grad ceremony, at 9pm I was too tired to cook. There were 4 of us, adults. Our server was a young lady. She took our drink order, gave us one bowl of salsa and 1 basket of chips. Several minutes later she asked if we were ready to order. She wasn't familiar with the menu and couldn't answer questions, even when asked in Spanish (I am fluent) we are a Mexican American family. While asking questions she wrote down 2 of the questioned items as orders, and put them into the kitchen. My nor my father had ordered, she said she'd come back... well she put the first 2 orders through to the kitchen. They came way before my father and my orders. She took my order then ignored him completely - I had to order for him. We ate our food, tidied our table and went to pay up front. Even though the service was lacking terribly, we tipped $25+ dollars, asked for no change. She didn't even look at me or say thank you. She took the money and check, while looking at her phone she said "ok." That was it. We walked out the door with such a bad taste in our mouths. 3rd visit and last visit. Please train your younger servers to be more hospitable and friendly. We can forgive a lot, especially of young servers, but the lack of warmth or even a tiny bit of politeness is inexcusable. The food can't always make up for poor service. We were embarrassed for bringing our out-of-town family member here, and really upset that what should have been a memorable happy meal, was not. Our visit was the evening of 6/10/26.
