Atmosphere could be better and it feels cramped. Other than this it's great!

August 2026: I'm sadly updating this review and reviewing from 5 stars to 3 stars. It hurts me to do it. I usually give almost all 5 star reviews if you check my reviews and my 18 million views on Google. Nothing went wrong tonight. Dinner was fine. Service was fine. Drinks were fine. So I guess that is a problem. I consider Carrabba's just below fine dining - but certainly above fast casual. Everything was enveloped in mediocrity. The hostess was seating people, but she wasn't friendly. I told her it was a party of 4 or 5. She took us to a top. I asked if this table will work if the 5th person can make it. She took us to a bigger table - there were plenty available. The service was way slower than expected and it was a Wednesday at 515pm. Not very busy. I'm a nerd, I don't guess at these things like most customers: I timed it and it was 6 minutes for the server to come over. She was pleasant enough but also didn't seem friendly. She was just waiting tables. Nothing special or friendly / inviting. Then it took 7 minutes more to get our happy hour drinks. 13 minutes total from seated to getting a drink. No embellishment, I hate when customers say "I waited 30 minutes...." - no you didn't, shut up I wanna say hahaha. But this was a long thirsty wait. While waiting for those drinks a friendly dude came to bring us water and took our appetizer order since the server didn't. He was talking and joking and really nice. Two more of our party arrived and placed drink orders with minutes, but again it took a long time to get them. They brought the wrong drink (just house wine) to one person, then took a long time to bring the right one out. I think that should've been a rush since he already waited once for his incorrect drink. Food was all "ok" at best. Carbonara sauce was watery. Fettuccini Alfredo tasted flat. Bread was great, so there's a plus. Salads were a C+ at best. Lettuce. Really? With all the "explosive" coverage of lettuce lately we all got salads that had just some discoloring, needing ends cut, not table worthy in my own home - even less so I'm a nice restaurant. The broccoli was like the lettuce with dead ends needing cut. Ugh. Bottom line: everyone there going through the motions of doing their job. But nobody seemed engaged or eating to deliver anything slightly great. Just going through the motions. It's dropped a far cry from my terrific visits 7 years ago. I still can picture the server from 7 years ago, so engaging and wanting to make it an experience for the guests. I can't even picture my server from tonight just hours later. Hum drum. Sad. 7 years ago review from 2019: They always do an amazing job. Service, food, speed, and wine recommendations that you should heed. Don't go cheap on the wine, the experience won't be the same without a great pairing... Try some of the dishes you've never had, all are beyond excellent. $$ restaurant at $$ prices. Cannot beat that!

Gotta say, I've been to this restaurant several times, and every time it's a joy to be there. Soup of the day never disappoints, and the traditional bread with dipping oil is a delicious snack to eat while waiting on your entrees. Speaking of which, most things I've had at Carrabba's is cooked and served to perfection. I say most because there was a chicken (or something of the sort) a member of my party ordered in which I found the lemon to be overpowering. That may not be bad cooking, though. Simply preference, since she loved it. Other dishes such as ziti, veal and such are traditionally delicious. Service is never an issue, and location is lovely, with a vast parking arrangement available. Highly recommend Carrabba's to anyone visiting Cincinnati, as it is my favorite Italian restaurant in the area.

Went to celebrate 45th wedding anniversary dinner at Carrabbas in Anderson in July 2026,of course we dont dine out often so we were excited to go to Carrabbas. My husband does not care for the oil with the spices on his bread so he asked for butter, our server was for accomidating and said sure I will get that for you.So he returned to our table and said sorry no butter,my husband was like, you are an Italian restaurant and there is no butter?Ok fine.I thought butter is a common staple in every home and restaurant, but I guess I may be wrong. So if you like butter instead of the oil and spices you may want to bring your own butter.
