I was not able to take more pictures due to the absolute delicacy we were served. Impossible to not concentrate on the flavors. We had the Chorizo meatballs as an app, it was fenomenal. The Picanha Steak was everything we needed.
We also had the truffle gnocchi which was just okay but the rest of the meal was so beyond delicious that we left in smiles.
From the hostess’ hospitality to the waitress’ care, we truly felt like this was the place to enjoy a special evening. Thank you for making our night so special!

Visited Butcher and Barrel recently and left feeling pretty disappointed overall, especially considering the atmosphere and expectations. The chorizo meatballs were definitely the standout of the meal — flavorful, well-seasoned, and cooked perfectly. Unfortunately, the rest didn’t live up to that same standard.
The potato gnocchi was probably the biggest letdown. The texture was extremely gummy and dense, and it honestly tasted more like instant mashed potatoes rolled into dumplings rather than fresh, light gnocchi. It lacked the pillowy texture you expect from a quality pasta dish and felt heavy after only a few bites.
Service from our waitress was actually very good. She was pleasant, attentive, and professional throughout the evening, which was appreciated and probably the best part of the experience.
What really started the evening off awkwardly, though, was the seating situation. The restaurant was nearly empty with plenty of open tables, yet the hostess seated us directly beside another occupied table and asked the other guests to move their stroller so we could even sit down. It created an uncomfortable experience for both parties and just didn’t make much sense given how empty the dining room was.
Overall, there were a couple bright spots, but the food inconsistency and strange seating choice made the experience feel underwhelming for a restaurant that seems to aim for a more upscale dining atmosphere.Visited Butcher and Barrel recently and left feeling pretty disappointed overall, especially considering the atmosphere and expectations. Butcher and Barrel is the kind of place you end up thinking about long after you leave. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff brings that perfect balance of attentiveness and genuine energy that makes you feel taken care of without it ever feeling forced.
The steaks are excellent on their own, but paired with the chimichurri and those empanadas, especially the spinach one, it all comes together in a way that feels intentional and satisfying. The papas bravas with their barrel sauce are just as memorable, bold and addictive in the best way.
And the Old Fashioned with New Riff bourbon is exactly how it should be, smooth, balanced, and made with care.
Everything here feels dialed in. Easy five stars.
This has become the date night spots for my wife and I.
