Rachel was our waitress and she definitely made the experience worth while! Definitely felt like I was experiencing French quarter vibes

We came in for a late dinner and shared a blackened catfish, shrimp and chicken platter. It was very good but way more French fries then proteins on this platter. The coffee creme brûlée was nice.

We ordered takeout from here one evening. Their menu has many of the NOLA staples; not too many local restaurants offer that. We ordered gumbo, a caesar salad, a fried catfish basket, a blackened shrimp basket, and bread service. The food was ready in ~25 minutes. The gumbo gets a C from me. There was nothing bad about it, but it had no wow factor and salt was the predominant flavor. The bread was meh.. not worth paying for. However, my family had better thoughts on their food. They said the fries were great and well-seasoned. They'd be happy to eat the catfish and shrimp again; the only nitpick was that the catfish could be a little crisper. They also said the caesar dressing was very good. I love the menu here, and I trust my fam's tastebuds, so I'd be willing to try my luck and order something else next time.

Ok, Great reviews going in but it was still a bit of serendipity that brought us here. And I'm so glad it did. Yummy food. Fantastic music (The Ludlow Trio). And superb service... Thanks to Nay for stellar service and electric conversation. She's a cool chick! We'll be back... soon!

Was mt first time here. Had a classy 3 piece band playing in the corner with an upright bass. The bartender was VERY friendly and honest. I had the jambalaya and also tasted the catfish. Both were cooked perfectly and had a surprising amount of flavor and heat without it just being spicy. The dining room was nice, tgey had a huge selection of wine, had Chickory coffee and everyone working there was well dressed like we used to see years ago. A friend told me about this place and I had never been. They did say that they have BEVER had a bad or improperly cooked meal here. The portions were actually man sized and the food was hot. The only downfall was the location. NOT at all in a bad area of town, just a pain to get to, like going to the Batcave or something. 40+miles away but worth the drive!
