  Last night my wife and I decided to try something different. I found Krinti Mediterranean Grill online not realizing this Mediterranean (primarily Turkish) style cuisine had been in Woodbury since 2014. How did we ever not know about this place? It’s located right near Chopt in Woodbury Plaza on Jericho Turnipike where I’ve been to hundreds of times, yet never knew this quaint Mediterranean restaurant was sitting right there. I’m Greek and my wife is Italian both with immigrant parents. We’ve been to so many different Greek and Italian restaurants over the last 43 years where the dishes are always the same, but we’ve never been to a Turkish restaurant. We perused the menu online and decided to give it a try. Boy! Am I glad we did. We had reservations for 5:45pm on a Saturday evening but arrived about 40 mins early. We were seated immediately. About 30 minutes later the place was nearly filled. The typical pita and tzatziki was brought out which is customary in most Mediterranean restaurants. It was fresh and the tzatziki had the right amount of garlic. They brought out a pitcher of cold water with lemon and the ice cubes even had lemons frozen in them. We ordered the mezze sampler which consisted of a choice of 4 mezze or appetizers. We selected the babaganoush, spicy feta, taramosalata (caviar) and tabbouleh. Each were delicious and tasted homemade. We also ordered the Spanikopita which we shared. It was out of this world!. The first bite brought back memories of my mother’s spanikopita who used to make it from scratch with home made phyllo dough, fresh spinach and feta cheese, and no dill. The phyllo was crispy as it should be and not oily. Most Greek/Mediterranean restaurants we’ve been to make it with dill which in my opinion overpowers the taste of the spinach and often is very oily. We then each had the swordfish kebabs over a bed of white rice, roasted peppers and a few asparagus spears. The swordfish was perfectly grilled, was flakey and delicious. We finished our meal with a Turkish coffee and some tiramisu. The service was spot on and our waitress was very attentive. In fact she didn’t even write down our order but got it right. I would definitely recommend Krinti Mediterranean Grill and we will most certainly return. Thank you for great food and service.

  Always have a great hot meal .Im trying everything on menu.Service is experienced and polite .I always over tip and owner checks on us every time ! Best restaurant in town and healthy and fair pricing !Try it you won’t be disappointed!!!

  The food was good and I don't have any major complaints about the quality of the meal. Unfortunately, the service was disappointing. After our appetizer was brought out, we were left alone for a very long time without anyone checking on us. It was difficult to get our server’s attention. The lack of attentiveness made the overall dining experience frustrating.

  A true local landmark with consistently excellent food and service. The muhammara is a standout appetizer, the moussaka is always delicious, and the daily specials never disappoint.Whether dining in or ordering takeout, everything is always fresh and well prepared.
