My meal was pretty disappointing for a restaurant that's had such a long-standing presence and reputation in the community. I ordered raw oysters and they were so tiny, it was the equivalent of a sliver of an oyster in the shell @ 6/$20. I ordered a salad and added grilled chicken as a protein. The chicken was not marinated, had no flavor, and was very dry. I only ate half of it before I couldn't stand chewing on it any longer. My martini was very good and the service was pleasant. I wouldn't rush to go back after this experience. There are too many great places to eat in Buffalo!
4 of us went to dinner here last evening and we had Zach as our server. From the minute we entered we were made to feel welcome. Zach is such a nice guy and made us feel like we have known him for years!! The food and drinks were fantastic and priced accordingly for fine dining. We all agreed we would return again because the experience was so positive!! Keep doing what your doing because it works!!

Giancarlo’s did an absolutely incredible job hosting my wife Alison’s 50th birthday party Friday night. The food and service were exceptional from start to finish. I’ve worked with Hannah, the private events manager, several times for both business and personal events, and she is truly outstanding…completely focused on the guest experience. In a time where hospitality often feels lost, Giancarlo’s absolutely delivers. Highly recommend.
My Brother and Sister In-Law treated us to a fabulous dinner here on Saturday Night! We got to sit at a High-top, our favorite, directly adjacent to the Raw Bar, where we could see all the comings & goings at this fabulous restaurant! The food was FANTASTIC! They make all of their own pasta and you can tell that immediately when it's presented and devoured. Of an exceptional note, our Server, Zachary was a delight, with his beverage and wine suggestions and personal inflections on the dinner options that we shared. All in all, it was a terrific evening! we'll be going back and recommending it to all of our Friends & Family, especially Zachary!

We had a rather frustrating start to our evening. Despite having a reservation, we were asked to wait about 30 minutes for our table. Communication from the host staff was inconsistent—one told us to wait until the table was ready, another said it would be ready in 10 minutes, and only a third hostess suggested we have a drink while we waited. To make matters worse, some guests who arrived after us were seated before we were.
We had specifically booked a table in the Florence room, but were instead seated in a dark corner of the atrium, right in front of a “household items” station with glasses and towels. When we asked to be moved, the only alternative offered was a small, high-traffic table for two located directly in front of the kitchen—despite there being four of us. With no better options available, we reluctantly accepted.
On a positive note, the food was excellent, and both the service and overall atmosphere were very enjoyable once we were seated. Unfortunately, the poor organization and seating experience at the beginning left a lasting negative
