  I made the rookie mistake of telling myself, “I’ll just try a little bit of everything.” About 20 minutes later I was sitting there built like a lowercase b, staring at an empty plate, wondering whether Angie’s Soul House offers financing for my next visit. The food is ridiculous. The Candied Yams tasted like somebody’s grandmother is guarding that recipe since the Nixon Administration. The Honey Fried Chicken, Rasta Pasta and the Cornbread - all should have Secret Service protection. Everything tasted like somebody in the kitchen genuinely cares about you. Portions are generous, flavors are on point, and there is absolutely no pretending you’re “just going to have a few bites.” That plan dies immediately. 10/10. Would happily ruin my diet here again.

  I ordered yesterday for the first time and it was online. My ordered time said 652pm. I arrived and still at 7pm my ordered was not ready. I approached the counter several times to find out what was going on because non of the employees said anything. I ended up waiting over 30 minutes more. It was unacceptable. I would never ordered from them again. You expected someone to communicate with you, letting you know that they were extremely backed up but nothing was said the entire time.

  My first time coming there was absolutely amazing. The employee at the register was so sweet and so professional. She read back my order to make sure everything was correct ordering and when receiving. The food was out of this world. Everything was so fresh. My home was 30 mins away and it was still hot and fresh when I got home. I can’t wait to come back with more friends and family.

  We ordered through the app. Everything ordered was picked up smoothly and the order was still hot when we arrived home. The oxtails combo was delicious as always. My personal favorite dish😋💖. My aunt ordered the chicken wings with jerk sweet sauce on the side...she enjoyed it! Thank you Angie for another wonderful and fulfilling meal. We will be back soon😋

  Great food but the wait time is ridiculous. Parking is limited. They say order on the app to avoid wait times but ordering on the app did not help me at all. This was on 7/31. I placed my order at 6:22 pm and it said my order would be ready at 7:12 pm. I got to the restaurant at 7:30 and they said to give them 10 minutes. 20 minutes went by and my order still was not ready. I did not get my food until 8:25 pm. I spent $90 and I was so irritated. I understand that places get busy, especially on the weekends but don’t give me a ready time if it won’t be ready. I already drove a good distance to get to the place. It will be a long time before I return to this restaurant.
