- CHChristine HartmannJul 29, 20265.0Mary’s is a wonderful place to eat! It used to be the old Speonk Inn which was started by the actor, Rod Steiger’s parents. Even Liz Taylor and Richard Burton visited there one weekend on the way to the Hamptons years ago according to my Uncle Rush who frequented there ! Food is varied and well made. As a former foods teacher and chef, I can highly recommend it. Service is very accommodating and welcoming! Prices are reasonable for what is offered. Portions are generous. I especially like the seafood combo over pasta. Don’t forget dessert!

Their pizza is definitely fresh and well-done as far as a classic plain pie, the macaroni and cheese pie was also off the charts. Crust was tasty and crispy in the best way possible.
