The atmosphere and service was incredibly inviting and warm. We loved everything we tried- the potato dosa was spicier than ones near home but still really flavorful. The dosas are also huge, easily for two people!
They are extremely accommodating for any allergies and are happy to make suggestions.
I wish this was close enough to home for me for them to become my regular Indian restaurant.
It is easily the best Indian food in the entire region, delivering bold, authentic flavors that you usually only find in major culinary hubs. Honestly, if this place were located right in the heart of the city, it would still be a part of my regular restaurant rotation. From the flawless food to the attentive service and welcoming atmosphere, it is pretty much perfect for what it is—a top-tier dining experience that never disappoints.

10/10 Indian restaurant and consistently a wonderful experience! Saaz serves excellent, flavorful food with a great variety of traditional dishes, and everything on the menu is fresh and delicious. The staff is incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming, and the service always makes the experience better.
I especially love the chicken dishes, garlic naan, lassoni Bobbi, and mango lassi. There are so many great options on the menu to explore. The atmosphere is warm, comfortable, and inviting, making it a great spot for both a casual meal or dinner with friends and family.
Saaz is a very well run restaurant with wonderful food and genuinely kind people behind it. I’m always happy to come back and will absolutely continue recommending it to others. One of my favorite spots for Indian food in the area!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience at Saaz Southampton was one of the worst restaurant experiences my family has ever had.
We arrived around 8:00 PM, and our order was taken within a few minutes. The restaurant was not particularly busy, yet we waited over an hour before receiving any food—not even our appetizer. During that entire time, no one checked on our table, apologized for the delay, or gave us any update.
When the food finally arrived, it was extremely disappointing. Some dishes were so oversalted they were inedible, while others were under-seasoned or appeared undercooked. We also requested onions and green chilies, and even those were carelessly prepared. When we informed our server, one dish was taken back but appeared to simply be reheated and returned. We asked for it to be remade, but the replacement arrived almost immediately and unfortunately did not taste freshly prepared.
The most disappointing part of the evening was the manager’s attitude. Instead of listening to our concerns, she immediately responded by saying, “Well, it seems like you guys ate everything.” Most of our food was still left on the table. We had only eaten small portions because we had already waited over an hour and were hungry. Her response was, “So? We can’t please everyone.”
When we were paying, the card reader wasn’t working properly. I politely asked if the machine was having an issue, and the manager replied that it was because of our “negative, negative, negative energy.” Even after my father explained how disrespectful that comment was, she continued making similar remarks instead of apologizing or trying to resolve the situation professionally. We left feeling completely disrespected.
What made the situation even more concerning was that another family dining there also raised concerns with the same manager about their own experience. They expressed dissatisfaction with the customer service and how their food had been handled, and instead of addressing their concerns respectfully, the manager was dismissive and disrespectful toward them as well. Witnessing another table being treated similarly made it clear that this wasn’t an isolated incident.
To make matters more confusing, our table of four was automatically charged a mandatory 20% gratuity, while that other family of four told us they were given the option to choose their own tip. That inconsistency was frustrating, especially considering the level of service we received.
As someone who genuinely enjoys supporting Indian-owned businesses, this experience was especially disappointing. I even reached out privately to the owner before posting this review because I wanted to give the restaurant the opportunity to address what happened, but I never received a response.
Delays can happen, and mistakes in the kitchen happen, but professionalism, accountability, and respect for customers should never be optional. Unfortunately, none of those were present during our visit. I hope this feedback is taken seriously so other customers don’t have a similar experience.

Bring your own rice and a sleeping bag it’s going to be a long and uncomfortable night. Although the food is good and you can tell the kitchen is trying to achieve quality and consistency, the wait staff could seemingly care less about guest experience. When they were at their finest moment they were at best perfunctory. we waited nearly 45 minutes for even the appetizer (one order of samosas)!to be fired and land on our table. And no
server nor manager appeared to explain why nor offer something to ease hunger and the sense that we don’t matter. When the mean finally arrived, it was clear waiters were not trained in marking the order to the place settings and then we queried about rice to be told that this was extra. Flagging the wait staff that crossed through the dinning floor empty handed on at least one end of their trip, seemed as if they had horse blinders on them. By end of the meal when we asked for containers we were brought back the check, no binder and just handed to one of my guests as the waiter dashed off once again to no where not even clearing some of the table. I wasn’t going to speak to the manager but several other people had been repressing their concerns of their experience. Yet despite the consensus of opinion, she seem to offer what might have been otherwise a lackluster attitude expect for her aggressive underpinnings that seem to double down that somehow we had all been of great burden. Sadly I would not be the first to want to support a minority female operated business in today’s economic and societal structure but I must instead remove this place from my list and must encourage others to do the same. A real missed opportunity.
