- BBBrina BerryJul 21, 20261.0Balducci's in scarsdale is like a trip back to the 1960s. The bigotry, the stares, the customer service, made me a person of color feel like I was back in the segregated time of the 60s. I was watched from the time I entered, to the time I left. One example. I was at the register, and the cashier was an older, Caucasian women with blonde curly hair, where I proceeded to use my ebt food stamp card. In a nasty tone she said we don't take that. Upon checking with management they said YES they accept ebt food stamps. Now, why would she do that ? I think she's telling me we don't want you here. Perfect example of bigotry. They should hang on their window colored do not enter. I will NEVER go back again.
- LLLPJun 6, 20261.0I had a terrible experience today at Balducci’s in Scarsdale. I wanted to buy two bottles of water that were on promotion (buy 2 deal). When I got to the register, I asked the cashier to apply the discount, but he insisted the promotion didn't exist. I actually walked him over to the shelf to show him the sign. Once he saw it, he changed his story and said it was only for store members. When I told him I wanted to sign up and become a member, he became very annoying and dismissive. He then claimed that because I live in Manhattan, the membership wouldn't work. It felt like he was doing everything in his power to deny me the promotion, and he spoke to me very rudely. I shop here all the time and everyone is usually wonderful, but this was hands down the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced.
