  Excellent service, everything was so tasty! We had the red pepper dip, falafel, lentil soup and the kofta. Super fresh! Sara created a really a really lovely and attentive atmosphere despite a really busy dining room.

  My wife and I had a very nice dinner here. The atmosphere was cozy and it was easy to talk. The food was amazing, with fresh ingredients and a clearly well thought out menu. Definitely the best middle eastern food we've had in the US, and also up there as one of the best overall restaurants.

  My husband and I stopped here for dinner as we were traveling through. Our first impression was that the restaurant was very pleasant to sit in. The acoustics were nice so no one was having loud conversations and the music was at a pleasant volume. We ordered the lentil soup and the grape leaves. I had both many times before but I liked the Egyptian version of the soup a lot. The grape leaves were very balanced. Not too sour or soggy like at other places. After that we shared a mezze plate. I loved how elevated the presentation was. They clearly put thought into it. My favorite was the muhammara and the baba ghanoush. I loved the olive oil they used for the cold dishes. I could tell it was a high quality oil and it complemented the dishes well. We decided to share a main and picked the kofta kebab. It was one kebab but there was so much meat on it that anywhere else it would’ve been two or more kebabs. It was a bit carb heavy with both the rice and the flatbread but I liked having the option of trying both. Even though we were full after all that we couldn’t say no to dessert and picked the honey ice cream and the kunafa. The kunafa was the perfect portion and light enough to have after a full meal. The honey ice cream was our favorite though. The portion was massive but so addictive we finished the whole thing. The floss halva and the fresh pistachios were the perfect touch to this dish. The chef did an amazing job inventing non traditional desserts that perfectly fit the middle eastern palate. There was so much eye for detail in both presentation as the balancing of spices and tastes. The amount of care they put into selecting the right ingredients is amazing. Like the imported olive oil from Greece and floss halva from Turkey. After two weeks of traveling through America and having massive portions of over salted, tummy ache inducing mid food this place was the perfect spot for a culinary recovery. Thank you Sara and Mike for this amazing experience 💕

  We were up for family weekend at Skidmore and to celebrate my birthday. Sara and Mike are exceptional people. Our meal was perfection, flavor and love in every bite, served with a warm and excited smile. Thank you for making my birthday dinner memorable and special!
