Fantastic food Portions everything’s fresh and well worth it.
I honestly don’t know if it was because of the Instagram videos, but I expected Yeeros to have a much higher energy atmosphere. As soon as I walked in, I was surprised by how quiet and underwhelming it felt.
The chicken was very tender, but it lacked flavor. I did enjoy the tahini sauce, although my wife wasn’t a fan. They definitely don’t hold back on the garlic, which is probably why I liked it. I also appreciated that they included a small serving of fries, and I have to give them credit because the packaging and presentation were really well done.
Overall, I probably wouldn’t go back unless I was just really hungry and happened to be nearby. That said, if you’re looking for Greek food, don’t mind lightly seasoned chicken, and love a garlicky tahini sauce, it may be worth trying for yourself. It’s not a place I’d rush back to, but everyone has different tastes, so your experience may be different.
I stopped in for lunch and loved how clean and quaint the store front is.
I ordered the chicken gyro bowl with quinoa, feta, olives and chick peas. The wait was short and the food was incredibly fresh and very well made.
It was one of the better chicken gyros that I've had, it was clearly roasted and seasoned perfectly. Their tzatziki sauce is creamy and very delicious, a perfect compliment to the savory bowl that I got with my choices that were saltier (olives and feta). I love that the portion size was large enough that I had it leftover for lunch again the next day.
If you're in the St. James area, I would highly suggest checking this spot out asap.
We found this place through Google while looking for a casual takeout spot, and the restaurant looked clean and inviting. The Greek-inspired atmosphere and the wonderful aroma of the food gave us confidence that we had picked a good place.
We ordered the Lamb & Beef Platter, a Steak Platter, and a kids' meal. Everything was well packaged, and when we opened the containers at home, the portions looked generous and appetizing.
One thing that disappointed me was the Steak Platter. It costs about $7 more, but the amount of steak was surprisingly small, cut into tiny pieces. Personally, I didn't feel the upgrade was worth the extra cost.
The kids' meal was a little confusing. It came with both rice and half of a wrap. Since it was a takeout order, I think it would have worked much better if the wrap ingredients had been packed separately so we could assemble it at home. Instead, it was already wrapped with the fillings and sauce inside, so by the time we got home the pita had become soft from the moisture and had lost its texture.
Despite those minor disappointments, my husband, my children, and I all enjoyed the meal. The flavors were good, and I would definitely come back to try other menu items.
