I have been going to this Roosevelt, NY Dunkin’ for the past couple of months, and I order the SAME thing almost every time: a bacon, egg and cheese on a wrap with American cheese and an additional white cheddar cheese. That is all I ask for. It is a very simple order, yet somehow it is wrong almost EVERY TIME.
When I order through the drive-thru speaker, I specifically tell them to please make sure the additional white cheddar is added so I do not have to come back. They always tell me “yes,” “no problem,” or assure me they understand. Then I get to the window and the white cheddar is missing AGAIN. At this point, it is extremely frustrating because I should not have to repeatedly explain the same simple order.
What makes it worse is how the situation is handled when I bring the incorrect food back. Instead of making a completely fresh bacon, egg and cheese wrap with the correct cheese, I have experienced them taking the SAME wrap, adding the missing cheese, and putting it back on the grill. When I receive it again, the wrap is stale, burnt and overcooked. If the restaurant makes my order incorrectly, I should receive a fresh item—not the same wrap reheated.
I have also had serious communication issues at this location. It is extremely difficult to get employees to understand me, even when I clearly explain what I am asking for. I have even spoken with a manager about this and felt like I could not properly communicate with him because of a language barrier. There needs to be a better way for customers to communicate with manager and have their concerns actually resolved.
The drive-thru communication also needs improvement. If the employees preparing the food cannot properly hear the order or modifications through the headset, then there needs to be a better system. The customer should not repeatedly receive the wrong food because the communication between the speaker and kitchen is not working.
I am also starting to experience attitudes from employees when I bring the mistake back. I should not be treated disrespectfully or made to feel like I am the problem when I am simply asking for the food I ordered. It is NOT my fault that they keep getting the same order wrong.
I have been patient and have repeatedly tried to resolve this directly, but nothing changes. I am now at the point where I do not even feel comfortable trusting this location with my food. I should not have to check my order every single time or worry that I will have to turn around and bring it back.
I am asking Dunkin’ corporate, the franchise owner, or regional management to please take this complaint seriously and investigate this location, including the repeated order mistakes, communication problems, how incorrect food is being remade, and the disrespectful attitudes I have experienced.
I would also like someone from higher-level management to contact me directly about this situation. I am not complaining because of one bad order. This has happened repeatedly over several months, and I genuinely feel frustrated, disrespected and ignored. Customers deserve to receive what they ordered and be treated respectfully when mistakes happen.
want to make it very clear that I am asking for this complaint to be seriously reported and taken to another level. I have already tried addressing these concerns at the store, and simply being told that it will be corrected next time has not solved the problem. The same thing continues to happen.
This needs to be brought to the attention of someone above the store level, whether that is the franchise owner, regional manager, or Dunkin’ corporate. I would like the management team to actually investigate what is happening at this Roosevelt location instead of treating each incorrect order as an individual mistake. There is clearly an ongoing problem with communication, order accuracy, food preparation, and customer service.
I am especially disappointed because I have been a regular customer for months. I should be able to order the same thing consistently without having to worry about whether my order will be correct.
