  Wow, I love this place. It is so old school, classic. You walk in and sit at the countertop, alongside other customers and eat. It is a small intimate place. I'm mad I've live nearby for five years and have never tried it. I came in wanting a cup of NE clam chowder. It is BEYOND delicious - thick and creamy. I had to get the fried clam strips, so we splurged and got the Ipswich clams, and they were INSANELY GOOD. The bellies are so juicy, and breaded to perfection. The staff are all super friendly and make small talk with you. They were very attentive whenever we needed something. I can't wait to go back!

  Came here after Lazy Lobster was closed. They only serve lobster rolls on the weekend. Had the clam chowder to start which had a thick gloopy texture. Decided to keep trucking and try the Crab Cakes/Whole Belied Clams. I thought the clams were the highlight but everything was pretty mid. Cole Slaw was minced in a non appetizing way. Some of the fried items seemed oil logged

  On August 29, 2026 we can to this restaurant a referral from Cohen Eye Place, they recommend this restaurant to us. The food and service was awesome. I enjoyed it to the fullest. Give it a try you wil not be disappointed.

  My wife loves fried clams, so we came for lunch yesterday. She ordered them and I had the fried cod sandwich. Over $60 for bland cafeteria food. What a disappointment and a waste of money.

  To celebrate my birthday I went Biglow’s for the first time and it certainly won’t be my last visit. I have no idea why I waited 74 years to try this unbelievable great local restaurant. Best clam New England clam chowder with a ton of clams I ever had in my life and the clam bellies wore so so sweet and tasty!!!! The service was outstanding. The only complaints about this restaurant in reviews seems to be the pricing but my wife and I ate for $100 including tip and tax, which is reasonable for high-quality food these days. Nothing fancy just outstanding food and service.
