  Top choice for tacos in ROC- everything is delicious, barbacoa is my favorite. It's a great price for the amount of food you get.The tacos have plenty of meat and come with a side of grilled onions and potatoes. Also love the salsa buffet! The service here is top notch, they are working hard to give you their best.

  This place is legit! Possibly the only place in Rochester making authentic Mexican soft tacos with nixtamalized corn tortillas made from scratch righ there. The barbacoa is outstanding, flavorful and not at all greasy. The charro beans were delicious, the guacamole was excellent (not like the flavorless paste I've been served at other restaurants). The tortillas are available for sale to take home, which I'll be buying to make my own breakfast tacos at home until the owner decides to open a little earlier for breakfast. The owner was so welcoming and happy to accommodate special requests. Can't wait to try the menudo this weekend!

  I had an amazing experience at Taqueria Monterrey! The food is incredibly authentic—everything tastes fresh and homemade, especially the tortillas and salsas. You can really tell they put care into every dish. The tacos are packed with flavor, and the portions are great for the price. The staff is super friendly and welcoming, and the service is quick even when they’re busy. The place is also very clean, with a relaxed, casual vibe that makes you feel comfortable right away. If you’re looking for real Mexican street food in Rochester, this is definitely one of the best spots. I’ll absolutely be coming back!
