  I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The food was served cold and did not seem fresh. The customer service was even worse—the staff were unprofessional, unfriendly, and did not know how to treat customers with respect. Communication was difficult, and the overall hospitality was unacceptable. This was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. I will never come back to this restaurant, and I cannot recommend it to anyone.

  UPDATE: Response to your reply: I was clearly stating the lack of clarity and communication between your staff member and us. We walked into an empty restaurant and rang the bell for service. When the staff member appeared we asked if they served halwa puri and whether the buffet was open. The staff member said no to both questions despite the fact that both these items were advertised on the restaurant’s web page. We asked whether the buffet was part of the dinner buffet and again the staff member said no and made an unclear reference to an impending business name change as the reason why the buffet was not open. There was no further elaboration or clarification. It seemed as if our business was not welcome given the deadpan responses to simple questions. We then scanned the menu overhead and decided not to eat there and left. PREVIOUS REVIEW: Thought we would try out Spinzar Kebab House on Sunday 12th July at 14:15 but it wasn’t to be. Walked in and it was eerily quiet…a bit too quiet. Finally we found a staff member who didn’t look interested in speaking to us at all. We were told there is no buffet and it didn’t seem like there was any action happening in the kitchen for anything else either. So we walked out. Plus the staff were not friendly. Why don’t they update Google to tell people instead of wasting our time! Absolutely ridiculous. On a positive there is LOADS of parking.

  Such great food, rice, lamb, chicken, everything all soooo good. All meat were cooked to the perfect temperature, and the rest was the perfect taste. Plus the staff was very nice to us too. Great restaurant!

  Spinzar Kebab House is one of those hidden gems that keeps you coming back. The food tastes authentic, fresh, and homemade every single time. The kebabs are seasoned perfectly, the rice is flavorful, and the portions are generous. Their naan and sauces really stand out and add to the whole experience. What I appreciated most was the hospitality. The staff treats you like family and genuinely wants you to enjoy your meal. The atmosphere is simple, comfortable, and focused on great food rather than hype. If you’re looking for real Afghan-style kebabs and flavorful halal food in Rochester, this place is definitely worth trying. Highly recommend the chicken kebab, lamb dishes, and fresh sides.
