  Foremost, the store's staff is outstanding. The lady was helpful, and kind. On to the problem. Sep 11, 2026, I picked up a cake at the Ridgewood location on Fresh Pond Rd, for my wife's birthday. She loved the look and even complimented the writing. After candles and having the honor cutting the first piece, she found three strands of hair in her slice, alone. I will be seeking a refund on the $70 cake. Reports going out tonight to NYC Health Dept on 311, and Haagan-Dazs Corporate. This is unacceptable!

  Dave was rude and unhelpful. Everyone in there is usually nice. But, I won’t be going back. It’s a shame since I live in the neighborhood. I’ll just go further out and give my business to Carvel.

  Really good ice cream with a lot of great options, but what really stood out was the customer service. Dave was absolutely great — very respectful, friendly, patient, and welcoming. He offered me different samples, explained the options, and made sure I had a good experience without making me feel rushed. You can tell he genuinely cares about giving customers good service. Employees like Dave are what make people want to come back. Definitely one of the best customer service experiences I’ve had. Highly recommend!

Sí, español es importante, como dijo mi amigo del Citizens Banco de Myrtle Av. I also included a second photo showing artwork featuring the Empire State Building. This image is based on a wall mural from the store and was edited by me using Adobe Firefly on July 11 as a personal creative project. I am sharing it as part of my visit and experience at this location.
