I have come here with my friends a few times, and each time, the food has been delightful! Their margaritas are really good and their avocado tostada is a hit with me and all of my friends. Reasonable prices too — as of May 2026, the quesadilla with beans and cheese is $6.59.

The food was most disappointing. Had high expectations because of a great experience at the Beeker St location. Even though I was 15min late picking up, the taco was thrown together and tasted stale, the esquite was full of stringy corn husk, one of the churros was burnt, and the horchata seemed to be opened already (which was discovered before I left and the worker just replaced the top) but tasted poorly. There was not 1 thing I finished.
Still will go to Tacombi, just not this location.

I’m gonna start with something positive, that staff was great and the atmosphere was definitely inviting.
I ordered pastor tacos, birria taco, churros and a michelada to go yesterday.
When I got to my home I was excited to watch a show and wrap up the day relaxing. But the food was bad. The birria taco was salty I couldn’t even finish the birria consomé, and it’s a small cup, then I continued with the pastor tacos, no flavor. The churros were not soft, were very hard, as when you have bread that has been out for days. Not even the michelada was good. Very disappointing, I don’t remember it being this bad. I definitely won’t be coming back. Tacos no.1, taqueria Ramirez and other places are way better than this. Sorry but be better. $40 it’s not cheap to eat bad tacos.

Dined on Taco Tuesday Special
Unorganized/Delayed service that gets worse the more crowded it gets/ The initial waitress who took our order disappeared on us to go to the back of the restaurant to zip on a soft drink during our whole visit.
We were lucky to reach out to BREEZY, one of the other waitresses. She was attentive, efficient, sweet and very professional by taking under her responsibility to wait on us until the end of our visit. We are very thankful that she sort of saved our visit to the restaurant.
There is nothing worse as a customer to be after your order and to witness how repetitive, disorganized and unprofessional the service is.
On an often basis we will see that our order will sit in the counter prior to being delivered for a while and it was not until we reminded the staff that we were waiting on our tacos that we were served.
There was one guy greeting all the incoming customers and in a special way the frequent ones ( I assume is the manager). One kind advice to the manager (please in addition to the diplomacy behaviour and being social with the customers especially with the frequent customers) roll up your sleeves and get involved in the way the food is served and how efficient the service is...believe me that is half of the battle when managing a good restaurant and an excellent reason to provide customer to feel pampered and invited to come back to give you business.
I would recommend trying to avoid this place when there is a line to dine in.

I was really disappointed with this meal. The description did not match what was actually served. There were no poblano peppers at all, barely any kale, and the sweet potatoes were boiled instead of roasted as stated. I’m Mexican and know what these flavors and ingredients are supposed to be like, so it was frustrating to see it so off.
On top of that, the portion size was very small, and the rice was poorly prepared. Overall, the quality and accuracy just weren’t there. I hope they take more care in both their cooking and how they present their dishes moving forward.
