Had high hopes - on the water so that should be a selling point. Was wrong. Kind Cold beer though. Lobster rolls were weak. New England one was watery and had no seasoning. Probably frozen. Friend had the Maine one, wasn’t better. fries were overcooked & they wouldn’t accomdate making a cocktail from scratch (pre-batched only). miss vickies chips best thing on menu

Had a wonderful lunch here despite the terribly rude table next to us. Our server Abby was so sweet, bless her patience. The large group next to us… the words I’d use would likely get this review flagged but ‘trashy’ would be an understatement, collectively shouting abuse at the young waitress. In any event, my friend and I shared the sriracha oysters, lovely. I had the Connecticut style lobster roll with a side salad to die for (ask for arugula) and a piña colada frozen with strawberry. 10/10

Terrible experience. Our server, Abby, was rude from the start—no smile, no service, and she never checked on us after taking our order. We paid extra for three fry upgrades, all of which were stale, soggy, cold, and inedible. She only brought one replacement, and it was just as bad. When the bill came, we were still charged for all three upcharges. Abby refused to remove them, insisting we “got the replacement,” despite it being only one order and still poor quality. Her attitude stayed dismissive, and when we asked if something was wrong, she seemed surprised but didn’t care. She said she’d ask the manager, but the manager never came over. Abby dropped the check without a word. For a beach‑town restaurant catering to tourists on a summer weekend—and not even busy—this was unacceptable. Poor service, poor training, poor management. Would not recommend and won’t return.

I’ve been to Bungalow Bar a few times, and honestly, it can be a bit hit or miss. However, this time we had the most amazing experience! Not only was the music great, but our server, Daniel, was absolutely amazing. He was attentive, on top of every request, and didn’t miss a beat. His service truly made our experience that much better. We really appreciated his attention to detail and great energy! Thanks Daniel!!

I recently visited Bungalow Bar in Queens, and overall, the experience was just okay. We had to wait about 15 minutes for a table, which wasn’t too bad, but it did set the tone a bit. The atmosphere was nice, but the service had some issues. I ordered a frozen lemonade without liquor, but it came with alcohol anyway, which was confusing since I had specifically asked for it without. They did fix it and gave me an hibiscus drink which I didn’t enjoy because it was very sour. As for the food, it was pretty mid overall. I ordered the shrimp tacos, and they were just okay, nothing special or memorable. However, the guacamole and chips were definitely a highlight. They were fresh, flavorful, and honestly really good. My friend ordered something like French onion soup and a wrap, and she said it was just okay as well. Overall, Bungalow Bar wasn’t terrible, but it didn’t really stand out either. Aside from the guacamole, most of the food and drinks were average, and the mix-up with my order didn’t help. It’s not a place I’d rush back to, but it’s fine if you’re in the area and looking for something casual and by the beach. We didn’t get to go outside because it was raining.
