  Not a lot of options for food. Oh and yesterday i opened my cranberry juice that was purchased a few days ago. I took a sip and immediately realized it was bad. When i checked the best buy date it was from oct 14, 2025. This store needs new management asap if they cant be bothered to check out of dates. I wish i could post photos with this review.

  I generally like shopping at this Hannaford, but I’ve had a couple of customer service experiences that left me feeling uncomfortable. The first incident occurred when my husband and I were purchasing a large ice cream cake. We were waiting in line behind a customer with a full cart. That customer kindly offered to let us go ahead since we only had one item. After we did so, the cashier, an older employee, made a comment about us needing to share the cake with the customer who let us go first. While this may have been intended as a joke, the way it was said felt awkward and uncomfortable rather than friendly. It made the interaction unpleasant. The second incident occurred when I was shopping with a hand basket. I had originally planned to buy only a few items, but I ended up purchasing much more than expected, making the basket very heavy. After paying, I was preparing to place some of my groceries into paper bags while keeping them in the basket temporarily so I could more easily carry them toward the exit. Before I could do so, an older employee whom I have seen working at the store many times spoke to me loudly and told me that I had to leave the basket at the checkout area. I understand that store baskets are not meant to leave the store, and I would have gladly followed that rule. However, what upset me was the manner in which I was addressed. The employee’s tone felt rude and embarrassing, especially because it happened in front of other customers. I felt as though I was being treated as if I intended to take the basket, which was not the case. I enjoy shopping at Hannaford and appreciate the store overall. However, these interactions left me feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. I hope management will remind employees to communicate store policies respectfully and professionally, especially when addressing customers in front of others.
