  Sunday is one of the most popular travel days. So they put a chick fil a in here that is always closed on Sundays. A truly braindead decision. This means the other 2 restaurants in here get swamped and take forever to get orders out.

  Pattersonville Service Area on the NY Thruway is a solid rest stop with plenty to offer travelers. The facility is clean, modern, and well-lit, featuring Starbucks, Panera Bread, and a gift shop stocked with New York-themed merchandise, snacks, and travel essentials. There’s an ATM on site and a dedicated Commercial Driver’s Lounge, which is a nice touch for truckers needing a quiet place to relax. The Mobil gas station out front has multiple pumps and stays well-stocked. Overall, it’s a convenient, comfortable stop with good food options, though it can get a bit crowded during peak travel times. Worth the stop.

  I’m done with this If you want to be insulted by staff and served bitter, messed-up coffee while the barista yells on her personal speakerphone, this is the perfect spot for you. I stopped by for a quick break during a long road trip back from New Hampshire, and the sheer disrespect from the staff completely ruined my day. I ordered an Iced Matcha Latte at the kiosk and specifically requested "light ice." The cashier rang it up correctly, but the barista making my drink (a college-aged woman) was paying absolutely zero attention to her job. She was completely distracted by a personal phone call, and as a result, she forgot to add the syrup and drowned the cup in ice. When she went to hand it to me, I politely said, “Ma’am, that’s too much ice, I requested light ice.” Instead of fixing it professionally, a male barista came over, told me to “Ok, chill” in an incredibly rude tone, and aggressively strained the drink. To make matters worse, he then openly mocked me to his coworker, calling my polite request a “customer crashout” right in front of my face. Being insulted and labeled as the bad guy just for asking for the drink I paid for is completely unacceptable. I said thank you and left to avoid further conflict, only to take a sip in the car and realize it tasted horribly bitter because—sure enough—she forgot the syrup entirely. Terrible, rude customer service and a completely botched drink. Avoid this location at all costs.

  Who's the genius that put a Chick Fill-A in a rest stop people often travel through on the weekends.... Now the only other food option has a half hour wait for your food because everyone's swarming the only option open on Sundays. Whoever was in charge of these new I-90 rest stops clearly never takes road trips or even bothered to think this through. Dumb decision after dumb decision after dumb decision.

  It is so beyond stupid that once you get gas you cannot come back into the store as the road funnels you into the interstate.
