Dining here isn't just about the food, it's the experience. Every time I come here, staff is extremely hospitable. You walk into this charming diner, and get greeted with a smile. The food is to die for Every. Single. Time. Breakfast lunch or dinner, whatever you order comes out fresh and delicious. 10/10

This used to be my favorite place. The last few times it’s been terrible. Yesterday I door dashed a lasagna dinner and fried mushrooms. Half my order was missing. I called nicks and told them they said they would bring it out to me but it never arrived. An hour later I was still waiting for it and it never showed up. Upon trying to eat what I did receive it was burnt. This morning I called to see if they would make it right and Andrew was very nasty to me. Andrew called me a lier and hung up on me. This was a very upsetting experience. I will never return there. They really should have made it right and not treated me in such an awful manner. I really had thought that Andrew was a better person than this until now. It’s really hurtful to be treated this way by a local business that I have supported since they opened. I asked to speak to the owner and they wouldn’t let me.

We were in Oneonta for a baseball tournament at Cooperstown All Star Village for the week and Nick’s was the perfect end cap to our trip! After spending a week in the bunks at the players village my husband was so excited to have a nice big meal of his choosing. Michelle, our server, took such amazing care of us! She provided not only amazing service but such a warm demeanor that made it feel like we had already been customers for years. We cannot say enough good things about Michelle….10/10 all around! The food was absolutely amazing and truth be told we INHALED it! Highly recommend the Ham Melt and Breakfast Burger, both were amazing. We ended the meal with some great cheesecake too. If you are a fan of hard cider, I highly recommend the Awestruck Cider! It is out of a local company and is a perfect blend of apples and pears. Thank you all at Nick’s Diner for providing such a warm and cozy setting for us to enjoy our last Oneonta meal! We’ll be back in 2028 with our younger team and can’t wait to return for another amazing dining experience!
I got the meat lovers breakfast one slice of bacon one small diner sausage and a half a piece of thin ham with an old baked potato cut up and was called hashbrowns for some reason I asked if I could substitute rye toast for the pancakes and they said no the only good thing that was warm on the plate was the two eggs over easy this breakfast cost me $18.45 and that’s without coffee and most of it was cold if you’re a meat lover, do you think one piece of bacon is gonna do it for you or one little sausage or half a piece of ham when I see meat lovers I’m thinking a full plate for 20 bucks you Know Maybe the baseball people put up with this, but I’m a local and I don’t like being ripped off
Food is WAY too overpriced. Paid $70 for chipped beef, penne ala vodka, a fountain soda, and a float (this includes a tip), and the food wasn't even good. The garlic knots tasted like I was eating a stick of butter and I tried not to gag it was so awful. The chipped beef dish was entirely drowned in cream, so much so that it nearly poured off the plate when it was put on the table. The penne ala vodka was also drowning in sauce. It was very loud inside, the waitress kept trying to hand me whatever my spouse ordered, and they also use excruciatingly gendered language. I feel like I was called "ma'am" or "lady" there more than I have been in the past month. Definitely do not recommend for millennials or any younger generations and seems more suitable for an older crowd.
