  I've been going there several times a months with my family for years. Only one of us eats meat and we loved the various veggie options, including on the kids menu. But huge disappointment last time we visited: The menu was changed completely and all our favorites were gone. They did not even have tofu available anymore! Now the menu is meat-heavy. We were told that this was because the new manager had decided to change the menu. Not sure we'll be back (unless the new manager has a change of heart....)!

  Serious disappointment! We visited Wagamama many times in London, it was in fact our default lunch or dinner place while visiting there. We wanted to repeat the experience here in NY, it was big disappointment. Except for the banh sandwiches, all the food was mediocre at best. Staff did not improve the experience, when the hostess asked for my phone number, I declined (because I do not want to have my phone spammed) she replied with a snarky comment, that "If you lose your stuff, we wont be able to contact you". It was somehow implied that it was required for some sort of reservation... but be noted that it was around noon, on a Friday and the place was nearly empty. Let's move to drinks: The suggested some cocktail or natural juice with coconut. It sounded to us like a good idea. I picked up, my wife picked another, I just asked mine without ice (Just I think of mine, unlike many I do not like my drink nearly frozen with a ton of ice. The waitress said that that drink's ingredient was ice, and that they could not make it without ice!!! So I had to switch for coke without ice (this did not seem to be a problem) When my wife got her drink, it became clear that IT IS totally possible to serve the drink without out ice, a lot of it actually. One can only think that corporate forces them to stuff drinks with ice, no compromises made!

  NEVER AGAIN!! At the “reception desk,” they DEMAND you give them your phone number or email before giving you a table— in their sad empty restaurant. I have eaten here innumerable times — and this is new and unnecessary. Stay clear! The food was never any good anyway. Bland and overpriced for what you get. It was just a convenient location. Now it should be off everyone’s list.

  This place does not allow you to sit at their table if you do not give them your phone number and email address (even though I was trying to eat at 2:30 pm when the restaurant WAS EMPTY TODAY ) - so rude

  Wagamama’s have dramatically changed up lots of their menu - most notably the ramen selections. My two go-tos are gone, and the new policy of most ingredients being add-ons is pushing the prices up. If you had some favorites, check the web menu ahead of time. Very disappointed :(
