This place is interesting , came from Long Island yes I didn’t have a reservation but it was pretty early before 6:30 not busy , very nice Trinidadian lady definitely give a promotion tried to help out but the manager well maybe idk his position was so flustered with a bat outside that he thought it was world war 3 and was gona jump on him he got so flustered he decided to loose some
Good regular clients they need to learn how to deal with small pressure next time lol , it okay tho I enjoyed the St Regis service this time .

Horribly pretentious place that does not let walkins eat in the restaurant.

Hard to get reservation, great atmosphere with beautiful decor, lots of riding paintings, and good energy. Food is OK not great - burger wasn’t very juicy, steak was fine, some of the appetizers were good like the corned beef sandwich.

Finally made it to The Polo Bar and it did not disappoint. While the atmosphere is legendary, the food actually holds its own. The Dover Sole was prepared perfectly, and the Vesper martini at the bar beforehand was the ideal start to the evening. Don't skip Ralph’s Coffee Ice Cream for dessert—it’s the perfect end to a rich meal. It’s expensive and exclusive, but the level of hospitality makes every guest feel like a regular. An 11/10 experience.

This is part of the Ralph Lauren brand, and they are busy - very hard to get reservations, and they check at the door. Required reservations to get in, and they don't let you in otherwise. Upstairs as you wait for a table, you can get warmed nuts, deep fried olives, and chips that are quite good at the bar.
Downstairs dining is limited to a strict time. Seating and area decorated with lots of wood and horse paintings and drawings.
Reuben appetizer was good, as was the dover sole with lemon butter sauce. The Caesar salad was ok, and the crabcake disappointed (the weird bird-nest like outside fell apart and didn't give it much consistency). Burger looked good but was somewhat undercooked, only one pickle for the table to share the quartered burger. Dessert sundae was good. Chocolate cake too dry.
Overall service was ok, but ushered us out quickly - they really try to stick to the time. Will I be back? Maybe if invited, but probably won't be here as a first choice.
