We had no reservation and underdress. That might explain why it took a while to find us seats where there were plenty of empty tables. The ambiance and service were very nice. The food also very good, 5 stars hotel price!

The place was beautiful and quiet (which is so rare for NYC restaurants), and I was so grateful I could have a normal conversation during a meal without shouting, but it felt like the waiter couldn’t wait for us to leave. We stayed there for two hours. I ended up ordering a bottle of champagne, and the check was still in the hand of the waiter every time he attended to our table. That was very annoying given our bill was $560. And even at the beginning, just 10 minutes in, he said: “Let’s order some breakfast.” We will order when we are ready! P.S. The restaurant wasn't even half full.

I always look for the perfect combination of delicious food, excellent service, and a beautiful atmosphere—and The Garden was exactly what I was looking for. I had the omelette with four toppings, and it was absolutely delicious. My husband ordered the breakfast sandwich but was more like a burger with eggs and loved it as well. Everything was fresh, beautifully presented, and the service was warm and attentive. If you're looking for the perfect place to start your morning in New York, I highly recommend The Garden. We’ll definitely be back!
