I discovered this place over a month ago, and it has quickly become my go-to spot for authentic Thai food. As a Thai who often misses the taste of home, I can confidently say TEAKWOOD exceeded all my expectations.
The food is honestly spot-on. It has all the authentic flavors I grew up with, and I was especially impressed by how beautifully every dish was presented and elevated without losing its authenticity.
The restaurant itself is modern, beautifully designed, and incredibly cozy. Paired with the warm hospitality and wonderful staff, every visit feels welcoming and memorable.
I can’t recommend TEAKWOOD enough. It’s simply a must-visit that will never disappoint.

I had a great time at Teakwood! Their Thai-fusion menu is perfectly balanced—some dishes felt just like home, while others offered a fun, modern twist on the classics. It might not have that intense "Thailand-level" spice, but it’s the ideal place to introduce friends to Thai food in a beautiful, cozy setting. They also have a solid cocktail list to round out the experience. The service was top-notch, especially Cupcake, who took care of us; her personality is so exceptional and really made our meal special!
Had an awesome meal!
The service was on point from start to finish - the staff were super attentive without hovering, and our food came out fast. Everything arrived piping hot, which is always a win, and you can tell the ingredients are fresh. Portions were just right, not too small and not wasteful.
Drinks were really refreshing, and the spice level hit the mark perfectly. You can tell they know how to balance the flavors so it’s flavorful without going overboard unless you ask for it.
Overall, great food, great service, and solid value. Definitely going back.

We came here because this restaurant is led by the same team behind Pure Thai in Hell’s Kitchen, one of the best Thai spots in NYC and it absolutely lived up to the reputation
The food tastes just like real street food in Thailand. The clams basil stir-fried dish is a standout.
I literally finished every drop of the sauce because it was that good. The pork jowl is as famous as people say, rich, tender, and perfectly cooked. The whole pompano was also excellent, and a special touch was the manager kindly helping us remove the fish bones at the table
The atmosphere is another highlight. It’s the only Thai restaurant I’ve found in this area (maybe), and I love how relaxed it feels, no rush, no loud music, just the perfect space. It’s not crowded or cramped, so you can actually enjoy easy conversation and a comfortable dining experience
The staff are friendly (all of them, including my bartender Austin), sincere, and truly welcoming
It really gave us a homey feeling
Just one small thing I would suggest is the dessert menu. it would be great to have more options, especially since I’m pretty sure they do everything else so well here
I feel like this place is an underrated gem right now, especially compared to many Thai restaurants popping up around the city but I’m pretty sure it will be one of the top food destinations soon!
Overall, I left really happy and proud to recommend this place to friends, and we will definitely be back not only for the food, but also to visit the lovely staff here again 😊
Disappointing. Stopped in for happy hour and ordered a lychee martini and the dumplings. The martini was good, but the dumplings were served cold, which was incredibly disappointing.
What made it worse was that the restaurant was empty. There was no reason food should have come out cold when there were barely any customers. It felt like the dumplings had been sitting on standby rather than being prepared fresh.
I was seated at the bar and received very little attention throughout my visit. I was actually planning to order more food, but the lack of service changed my mind. I asked about the grilled beef salad, and the bartender’s only explanation was that it came with “regular normal beef,” which wasn’t particularly helpful. Beef can mean a number of different cuts or preparations, and I was looking for a little more information before ordering.
This place could be a cute happy hour spot, but the lack of service and food that felt like it had been sitting on standby isn’t something I would recommend.
