  Mediocre service, slow kitchen … asked for 6 tacos without onion and after 20’minutes came out with cold and tons of onions . What a joke

  My absolute favorite taco place in all of New York City! Despite only offering one vegetarian option — sweet potatoes and beans in their tacos, I always enjoy it. I am a huge fan of their tostadas, and they’ve recently introduced a Tres Leches taco that’s equally delicious. The space is spacious, so we can always find a table, no matter the rush hour or holiday. The service could be a bit on the slower side sometimes (perhaps more table staff needed), but that’s okay. The last few times, we have consistently been served by Jose, a warm and friendly person. The music they play is nice and I love going here in the evenings!

  I miss the old Tacombi. Quality has gone down in the last year or so. The quesadilla used to have onions and cilantro i think but now they've changed the cheese and it's just really bland. Thank god the esquites remain perfect. This location also has you do the check through a QR code on the table but does not tell you this. We were waiting 20 mins for the check then finally realized it was on the QR code. It's a cute vibe and cheap but sad that it's starting to get a bit worse as the company expands. (see photo for what the mushroom quesadilla used to look like)

  Tacombi on 23 W 33rd St was amazing! Our whole family stopped here and everything we tried was delicious. The tacos and quesadillas were so flavorful, and you can really tell the ingredients were fresh. We ordered a variety of meats so everyone could try something different, and honestly, every single one was good. The quesabirria was one of my favorites — it was so tasty, and the consomé on the side made it even better for dipping. I also tried their frozen margaritas and they were sooo good and refreshing. It paired perfectly with the food. The staff was super friendly and helpful, even with our big group, and the restaurant was very clean. The atmosphere was great and the service was fast. Definitely recommend this place if you're in New York. We would absolutely come back!
