  The food was excellent, fresh, flavorful, and definitely the highlight of our visit. We had the tacos and the quesadilla, and both were delicious. However, the service was confusing at first. Even though we arrived during the opening hours listed online, we were initially told we couldn't be served. After checking with someone else, we were told we could only order takeaway. It wasn't until the manager arrived that we were finally welcomed and allowed to dine in. While we were eating, the staff started cleaning around us and putting chairs away, which made us feel like they wanted us to leave. Thankfully, the manager was very friendly and helpful, and the quality of the food made up for the disappointing start. I would still recommend the restaurant for the food, but I hope the service becomes more consistent.

  Watch the sneaky $1 transaction surcharge at the end, "no fee if you use your terminal" scam. Overpriced for cheap quality food, the guacamole is mostly chips. Better options around the block.

  I had been to Tacombi before, but this was my first time visiting this location, and I was very impressed. The classic margarita was one of the best margaritas I’ve ever had highly recommend it. My boyfriend ordered three Birria tacos, while I tried the Carne Asada, Chicken Tinga, and Shrimp tacos. The Shrimp taco was absolutely amazing, and the Carne Asada was also excellent. The Chicken Tinga was a bit spicy for my taste; it wasn’t bad, but it didn’t stand out compared to the others. The Birria tacos were also very good. We came during happy hour, so the drinks were a great deal. We also ordered the churros for dessert, and I absolutely loved them. Overall, a great experience, and I’d definitely come back! ⭐️🌮🍹

  We’re not coming back… anytime soon. 😉 Let’s keep this our little secret: we visited Tacombi at Financial District four times in one week! I was on vacation in New York with my son and we stayed at a hotel just a 7-minute walk away. On our first day, we came here on my sister’s recommendation. The menu seemed endless, and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. The next day, we returned for dinner because we wanted to try more of their tacos. By the third visit, we were almost embarrassed to walk in again, especially since it was late and secretly hoped they wouldn’t recognize us! Thankfully, the service was just as friendly as before. Fast, efficient, and genuinely welcoming. During our second visit, a waitress recommended their “spiciest” sauce. For me, it wasn’t really spicy, it was simply addictive. A fresh mint-green sauce with a bright, flavorful kick that made everything even better. We also treated ourselves to churros, which were the perfect sweet ending to the meal. And yes, we came back one last time on our final day, almost exactly at opening time before heading to the airport. We wanted one more great memory from our New York vacation. What impressed us most was the consistency. Across all four visits, we were served by different staff members, yet every single one was warm, friendly, and welcoming. We loved Tacombi, and it will definitely be one of our first stops the next time we visit New York.
