  The Kansas City steak with lobster Mac and cheese was amazing. The crab cake for appetizers was perfectly made and delicious.

  We visited Strip House Midtown after seeing Paranormal Activity on Broadway! We were initially drawn in by the 24-layer chocolate cake I had seen on Instagram. The restaurant itself was very nice, although somewhat dim. In fact, the lights actually went out twice while we were dining - supposedly due to a faulty switch in the back! Overall, the staff was warm and accommodating, which we appreciated as we experienced a few ups and downs throughout dinner. My son ordered the lobster bisque, which arrived with the lobster and garnish in the bowl and the broth served separately in a small silver carafe. He asked the food runner if he could pour it himself, as he needed to wash his hands and didn't want the soup to get cold, but the food runner refused, which we found quite surprising. Our server and manager quickly apologized and had a new soup brought out. Dinner itself was very good. The steaks have a peppercorn crust, which I wasn't expecting but ended up really enjoying. Strip House has actually become my son's new favorite steakhouse because of it! My wife's scallops and couscous were also prepared well and very tasty. While the sides were a bit small considering the price point, the mac and cheese and mashed potatoes were stellar! As our table was being cleared before dessert, a food runner inadvertently knocked over an entire glass of water, soaking my wife's lap and a signed program we had on the table. Our server profusely apologized, which again was appreciated. My son and I ordered the 24-layer chocolate cake for dessert. For me, it ended up being just okay - a bit darker and more bitter than I expected, and not nearly as fudgy or milk-chocolatey as I had hoped. My son, on the other hand, loved it! Overall, despite a few ups and downs, we had a very nice time at Strip House Midtown. The steaks were the highlight, the staff handled the mishaps graciously, and most importantly, my son may have found his new favorite steakhouse!

  We had one of our best dining experiences ever. From the moment they greet you at the door until the moment they say goodbye on your way out everyone is so friendly and helpful. If the rest of the waitstaff is as exceptional as Emily then you will no doubt be taken very good care of. The food and cocktails were done exceptionally well. Everything was cooked just as it should be and brought out in a timely fashion and the cocktails were fun and yummy. I highly recommend Strip House for an exceptional dining experience in NYC! If we're ever back in NYC, we'll definitely visit again.

  Made a 5:30 res here to catch up with an old friend..got drinks and apps to share. Overall it was a good experience with good food but felt a little uncomfortable when the waitress said “usually the restaurant wouldn’t give out a table for just appetizers.” There was nothing on Open Table that said we had to order steaks/ entrees and really nothing that said that anywhere. The service was still good and we left over 20% on the tip to try and make up for it but idk..if that’s the case they should say something on the reservation instead of trying to make you feel bad when you get there.

  We were impressed with the wonderful service we received! The food is very yummy, their cocktails were fantastic (shout out to their Cosmopolitan!), and I can't forget to mention their delicious chocolate cake! Ask about the history of the place--it's very interesting!
