Food and service here is great. The Steaks were made perfectly, the drinks menu had alot of variety and all drinks my group had was really good. Lobster tail was a great option, strip steak was a great cut and the porter house for 2 was a great portion. Our group tried the sauces which absolutely elevated our meals and the sides were also really good. The bacon appetiser was the best pick. In all the food and service was really good, it is a a candle lit place so reading the menu can be difficult. The dessert had good variety but the best part is absolutely the cheesecake. In the end we would definitely recommend coming here again. For a table of 4 with one appetiser, four entrees, four sides, three deserts, and seven drinks everyone was full. Total was $840 with tip and tax, expect about $200 per person. Definitely recommend coming here the food was really good.
Summary:
I had been looking forward to visiting this restaurant for quite some time, and we ultimately chose the Midtown location to celebrate a special occasion. Unfortunately, the experience did not meet expectations and did not feel worthy of the occasion.
Overall, the atmosphere felt more akin to an upscale national chain catering to expense-account dining rather than a distinguished steakhouse with a strong reputation. Both the service and execution in the kitchen fell short compared to other steakhouses in Manhattan, and I would not return to this particular location.
That said, there were several highlights among the dishes we ordered, including the bacon, crab cake, lobster tail, and asparagus. However, the service lacked organization and attentiveness, which was especially noticeable given the price point. While occasional missteps can happen, the overall experience did not align with the level of quality one would expect.
At approximately $160 per person, the meal represented poor value. The food was comparable to that of a premium national chain, rather than a smaller, more focused brand with only a few locations where greater consistency and quality control might be expected.
Details:
Upon arrival, there was no host at the entrance, and we experienced a noticeable wait before being seated—something we observed happening to other guests throughout the evening. It also took time for our server to bring menus. While the decor is attractive, the music was quite loud, making conversation difficult.
Cocktails were strong but overly sweet; I would recommend sticking to wine, beer, or liquor. The pretzel bread was fresh and enjoyable, though the other bread was overly hard. The bacon and crab cake appetizers were flavorful but heavily seasoned.
Our strip steak, ordered medium rare, arrived rare with a chewy fat cap, overly salty crust, and tough connective tissue. The au poivre sauce was initially forgotten and, when delivered, was thin and underwhelming.
The layered potatoes were decent but seemed reheated and fell short of similar dishes elsewhere. The asparagus, however, was excellent. The lobster tail was also initially forgotten but ultimately cooked perfectly nd served with rich, hot butter; a complimentary beer was provided in response, which was appreciated.
For dessert, the bananas foster was disappointing. The gelato had a gritty texture and an overly bitter flavor, possibly from improperly cooked-off alcohol. Perhaps it was just personal preference as we've never had it before. In hindsight, we would have preferred the signature chocolate cake or key lime pie.

Absolutely superb dining experience. The atmosphere and decor were brilliant, and the food more than lived up to it. The steak was excellent, the sides were fantastic, and the staff were warm, friendly, and clearly very knowledgeable about the menu and offerings.
A special mention to the two ladies on front of house who kindly accommodated a last minute change of plans, and to Emily, who looked after us so well and talked us through the menu.
The desserts were spectacular too. The 24 layer chocolate cake is immense and easily enough for four people, while the cheesecake was epic and generously sized for two or three.
A thoroughly enjoyable meal from start to finish, and one I’ll be recommending to anyone who will listen.
