The staff member who assisted us came across as rude and unwelcoming, and at times responded to questions with visible frustration, including eye-rolling. While the cook did an excellent job and the food was well-prepared, the overall experience was negatively impacted by the poor level of service.

I mentioned it was currently raining, to wish the lovely woman behind the counter, looked at me with a blank stare, and said “I know.” I love Smashburger, but this location should be closed if that’s the kind of service they provide. The absolute worst. At the very least, she should be let go. There are plenty of other options in the Times Square area.

Second burger - despite being told twice not to use the crispy fried onions as they’re not GF, they used them, even though they weren’t used on the first burger. Third burger - no sauce….they literally couldn’t make a burger correctly. For all coeliacs, don’t trust them.

I ordered a double scorchin’ chicken smash burger from their menu and checked again with the cashier regarding the burger being chicken. When I got my order and took a bite into it I tasted something different. One of my friends confirmed that it was beef. I strictly do not eat beef and when I spoke to the guy who took my order, he said he would replace it and give me extra fries and a drink on the side. As replacement, he gave me a basic chicken burger which was not what I had ordered initially and forgot the drink. The entire experience was very unpleasant and I left the place very disappointed. The burger itself was mediocre.
