One of the last few 24/7 spots left in the city that supposedly never sleeps. This diner is classic, has way too many menu options as diners tend to do, but if you stick with the breakfast/brunch classics you won’t be disappointed. I got a crab cake benedict which was great! So were the chocolate chip pancakes! Portions are BIG I honestly could’ve shared just 1 of the dish with my friend.
Does exactly what a diner needs to do!
After a long walk the diner shows up surprisingly. Had my favourite: a Cesar’s salad with chicken. The diner is calm and cozy, the waiter kind but not very attentive. The salad was fresh and crispy, the chicken was right from bbq. Unfortunately I was looking for the dressing. Could be better with more. Nobody ask, is the food good? Pity.

My son decided to take his mother and niece to eat brunch. We were going to go to another breakfast location but, they had a 30-minute wait in the NYC summer heat. We literally walked 3 blocks and found his location. No wait time which, I loved. The service was quick and server were friendly. The cashier looked like she didn't want to be there and she let everyone know with her body language. The decor is your typical NYC diner, but it was cute and more importantly clean. The food was good, no complaints.

I am in Texas, and I wanted to send my son who lives in New York City a birthday dinner. Remedy diner was so accommodating and efficient, and it made it easy for me to do. He loved the food, and it was delivered right on time I would highly recommend remedy diner, and I will continue to use them when I want to send a special dinner to surprise my son.

Remedy Diner canceled our reservation unexpectedly without explanation, forcing our company to rearrange our plans. We reached out for answers but never received a clear response. Respecting guests’ time and communicating clearly should be the bare minimum—not something we have to ask for.
During the event, there were also moments where we felt rushed. One of the female owners approached our team members and assumed they were finished with their food and drink, even though 75% of the food was still on the plate and they were still watching the performances. It felt like the priority was moving things along rather than allowing guests to enjoy the experience they had reserved.
The interesting part was that the people who were hired for the event—the daily-pay staff and performers—were some of the best parts of the experience. They were friendly, attentive, and genuinely respectful to guests. They understood something important: every interaction matters. Even though they were only there for the day, they made people feel welcomed.
A restaurant is not defined only by what comes out of the kitchen. Our experience showed that great food alone cannot make up for poor communication and a disappointing guest experience.
From Remedy Diner canceling our reservation without explanation to making guests feel rushed during an event they planned for, every interaction shaped how we remember the experience. Food may bring guests through the door, but respect, communication, and hospitality are what determine whether they choose to come back.
